I would pay that just to have my own private (tiny) space in an airport for a short layover.  While maybe not hell, regular airport waiting areas are certainly at least Purgatory.

I’m surprised nobody mentioned a law restricting airport food pricing. Several airports have rolled this out and it is hugely popular.

There are countless reasons. Another one is specialist manufacturing jobs were allowed to go single thread and those retirement aged workers finally retired. Now there’s not a pipeline of skilled machinists to take the place of the people who did that work for the last 40+ years.

A Cayenne easily ranks as one of the most uncomfortable ubers to the airport we’ve ever taken. I can’t imagine taking it on a dirt road much less on bare rock.

Oh shit. An honest comment. Most people who would buy a car like this new don’t want a manual. Just like how other performance brands/models have moved away from manuals (or at least away from manuals only).

People ski well into that age, but if a minor impact/fall can break multiple ribs, you have other health problems and maybe you should re-evaluate.

Right?! I’m as ready as the next person to be annoyed at Paltrow for selling “wellness” crap, but everything just looks like a weirdo who ran into her on the slopes trying to get a pound of flesh. She was skiing with her children who were beginners on a run that is not at all aggressive (although it gets narrow). She

Timely post given I was just late for work because a bicyclist was hit and killed causing traffic along my bus route.  Probably wouldn’t have happened if there were a proper bike lane and definitely wouldn’t have happened if drivers were more careful.

Spacer puts extra wear on the hub. If it isn’t addressed when it starts grumbling, this can happen, especially if it is a 2WD truck.

According to the story, he was 21 when he ordered the Rivian. When I was 21 I sure as shit wasn’t thinking about an $80k+ vehicle.

All Tesla had to do was watch some youtube videos of people driving Knight Rider conversions.  People have known the yoke looks cool but is a pain in the ass to actually use for ages.

I need to agree with the ones about no A/C. We drove our 4Runner around the Utah desert in the middle of summer. It was ~120 deg in the shade and the A/C was working hard the whole time. No way could we have done that without functional air conditioning.

I mentioned in my other comment that this article mostly made me miss my Miata.  For the price of this Z4 you could get two Miatas.  I know the “refinement” and power on a Miata is going to be a huge step down from a Z4, but you can get it with a manual and it costs half as much.

That purple color is fucking great.

Yeah am I missing the line in this article that points out that the roof goes down on the Z4?  I want my fun car to be fun and that includes roof down option!

Whatever Lexus calls their mid-sized or smaller SUV this year (their numbered models confuse me). My parents mostly do their occasional road trips in a 10 year old Ford Explorer and they’ll likely replace it soon with whatever the local dealer has sitting around on the lot and will “discount” the most. My parents are

A stolen car was once abandoned in my building’s parking lot.  I could not get the police to give a shit.  We just had it towed.  Hopefully the owner didn’t have too much trouble getting it back, but I really wanted to avoid the tow company charging the victim of the theft a ton of money.

It is so wild that people think he’s creating things when he’s just talking about stuff that’s been around for ages.

Something something something freedom of speech something something.

Oh wow!  Thanks for the tip!  We’re not planning another rental car winter time tour out there, but this is good to know.  We just left the unopened chains (there was some snow, but nothing requiring chains) in the rental when we dropped it off.
