Exactly. He’s an incredibly talented driver. He definitely has what it takes to be the best, but he needs to learn that getting or holding a position RIGHT NOW can come secondary to actually winning in the end or, and this is a big one, SAFETY! Lewis didn’t jump out of Max’s way fast enough earlier this season and

I drove an Accord of that vintage from Cape Cod to Orlando in a couple days driving it like dumb college kid and was so impressed with it that I later got a (2004) Honda Accord.  I’m impressed with your experience because I STILL see Accords from that era on the road and they’re generally in better shape and running

Our experience with Subarus was that they really weren’t reliable at all. We had a 2007 WRX and a 2005 Legacy. Both had constant recurring brake problems.  The Legacy went into limp mode all the time even after having the entire electrical harness and ECU swapped along with all associated sensors.  The WRX always

When my grandfather past away he left behind a 76 Chevette, a 72 Impala, and a Jeep which was I think a 59.  Nobody wanted the Chevette and I have no idea what happened to it.  Oddly enough, the dumb thing was stupid reliable.  Ran better than the Impala or the Jeep despite being treated much worse.

My father-in-law has a TR6 that he has had rebuilt about 1.5 times at this point. At least once all the way down to the frame rails and then back out again with various additional work along the way.

And in many cases it is not for lack of businesses trying.  Many places are still trying to produce quality products but just don’t have the workforce to get it done.  Some of that is businesses not wanting to pay enough.  Some of that is that the people with the skills have left the workforce and it takes time to

This is what I’ve been thinking all season. Max is a great driver, but what’s holding him back is not his drive to win or raw talent. It is the failure to know when to pull back, dodge out of the way, give up a spot, etc to get the eventual win. He’s thinking about the right now instead of the whole race (or season).

So you’re agreeing that Max endangered both of them repeatedly?

This column sort of glossed over the fact that Max was told to yield his position at one point and didn’t for several laps confusing Hamilton who was naturally rattled by what was a brake check from his perspective when Max was told to yield earlier.

Really happy to see an example of well prepared people reacting wisely.

Mazda is pretty good at making their little engines feel pretty good. Direct injection is a hell of a thing.

We went by a CX-5 on Ophir pass which I think had broken somethin important underneath.  At least stock, it wasn’t really up to that rocky trail even if it was relatively graded.

See those small sidewalls? I see pretty small sidewalls. That’s not great for anything too serious.

Except we’re talking about capital gains here.  As in, their ownership of those companies.  So in this case, they very much do get wealth directly from those subsidies.

Well Subaru seems to say 6k or 6 month intervals, whichever comes first:

How long it has been driven on salty roads is probably the bigger concern.

Don’t leave out that he was “mudding” his busted up jeeps in the backyard of the rental property with neighbors.

Is it really that low in the front?  We have a Limit 4Runner that we took out to Utah and Colorado that I was really worried about the approach angle on.  We only scraped once and it was actually the rear end coming down off a step.  The exhaust angles down so we scuffed the bottom side of that a little.

Over the summer we drove out west (6500 miles of driving all said) and bombed around the Utah desert and Colorado mountains.  We were so impressed with the places we saw people taking minivans.  4x4 roads?  Still saw minivans.

We got a new 4Runner in January.  Took it on a 6500 mile road trip this summer.  Really lucked out that we got it before the market went nuts.
