Only in areas where there are fewer unvaccinated people.  The vaccines work.  Once you get enough people vaccinated you will get a higher percent of those hospitalized being vaccinated because there aren’t many who aren’t.  You’ll also get far fewer people hospitalized in general.

All of those are good reasons for a company to push for vaccine mandates.  Here’s the thing though, a surprising number of companies are not enforcing the mandate.  Mandates do make good economic sense, but that hasn’t stopped companies from dragging their feet for various other reasons.

At least five police officers in MA have died of COVID19.  There are definitely others who have been hospitalized and are out on long term disability because of it.  We’ll lose more cops to the virus than we will to resignations even if more do materialize.

You need a pass and a list of equipment to go out on the beaches near me. I don’t know why there isn’t something like that for roads out there. We saw a CX-5 stranded on a pass in CO. It wasn’t a tough trail at all, but not something a stock CX-5 should be driven on.

There are just straight up RV rental companies just like there are for everything else.  So if you’re sketched by the airbnb model, you still have options.  People love owning shit though.

A good friend has an older RV that she fixed up mostly herself with some help (I think on the roof) from a professional.

My wife got that book before we went out there.  She studied it carefully and has tabs for trails she was interested in.  I believe Black Bear was eliminated from any plans pretty early on when we went out there in our mostly stock 4Runner.  Still did most of the Alpine Loop, but Black Bear seemed a bit more on the

Funtreks, which is like the baseline for off-roading out there that we found, pretty much agrees with everything you said.

We were out there in a stock 4Runner and opted out of Black Bear.  I think the Jeep that rolled down earlier this year (I think) contributed to that decision.  The “difficult” funtreks rating after coming from Utah (where “difficult” meant shit was super intense) helped send us elsewhere too.  Still did a bunch of

It is a well known popular trail that you should have read about before going there.  Even the very short blurb on funtreks mentions the one way switchbacks.

Of course they’re from Texas.

That trim only has 7.8 inches of ground clearance.  That’s not even considered a high clearance SUV.  Pretty good approach and departure angles at least.  Funtreks rates it as “difficult” which in my experience doesn’t mean a ton in Colorado (could be relatively easy, or could be really hard).  Still wouldn’t attempt

So they’re from Texas?

I live in a city with cramped roadways and tons of street lights and stop signs.  I do not understand how drivers enter this city and don’t quickly realize they need to slow the fuck down and chill out.  You’re not getting anywhere quick here.  Racing from light to light isn’t going to help.  It honestly confuses me

The cyclists who were run over are now recovering, per KPRC, but some are awaiting surgery in the aftermath of the event.”

There will at least be way more Broncos than RS manufactured right?  So waiting to get an MSRP Bronco shouldn’t even take that long should it?  They’ll be pumping them out as fast as they can get parts (which may be a real issue).

Don’t the payloads often just fall out of some platform max minus everything on the vehicle?  Add heavier tires, bash plates, roof racks, whatever and it just gets taken out of that “up to” number maximum.  At least that’s how it works on some vehicle platforms.  Unless the manufacturer is changing out springs or

The last purchase I had before that was a grueling multi-day, multi-hour affair filled with phone calls and driving back and forth to the dealer multiple times.”

We shoot for 800 miles give or take 100 miles for travel days on big road trips.  Three hundred miles is a day trip.

Right?!  If you intend to use your vehicle largely for road trips (as we do), it seems like an EV would be something of a nightmare.  Possible?  Maybe, but still something you will be stressing about the entire time.
