I apologize profusely to Rob, but I took one look at the pictures and went straight to NO DICE! It’s SGP (Some Guys Project) and the front end mess tells me all I need to know.

Two things:

That thing drinks gas just sitting there.

Double decker?  Ha!  Now this is a big deal.

This has me more excited than is acceptable.

Right?

Here’s the thing.  Big tires?  roof racks?  slight lift?  These are the things that are easily and cheaply solved in the aftermarket.  You know what these models NEED and can’t be provided by the aftermarket?  Transmissions that don’t pull power, overheat and die after 50,000 miles when used off-road.

We’re hoping that the Wilderness edition...”

THIS is exactly the kind of classic you want. Reminds me of my old Frankencar, a 1962 356B T-6 Coupe. Had the engine from a 64, was painted decently a light yellow color but it was originally blue which you could see when it chipped anywhere and some areas of the interior, but it ran like an absolute top and needed

If I had room for a classic Saab in the garage, I’d be writing him a check right now.

I’m gonna start a band just to name it Eminent Sensual Penguins.

Yeah, I’d say for me that 400 is a good goal to hit. But I also have the criteria that a full recharge not take more than 30 minutes, because when I am driving long distances, I just want to get there. I don’t want to have to stop for several hours each time I need a charge, and I definitely drive way more than 400

400 is the sweet spot. That’s enough to not really concern 99% of people. If I can get an EV around $30k with 400 mi range, I will buy it. That’s what it will take.

Came here to say this! 300mi in real world (highway speeds + not ideal weather) is what I want.

Hi, I live in not-urban place. I also travel to other not-urban places. If I have to pull over every 125 miles to fill-up, even it it takes me 5 minutes, it’s going to be a long drive wherever I go. 150 miles one way is something of a quick overnight trip. 300 miles one way is a weekend.

We bought a 2020 Bolt in September. On the highway at 65-70 it did 220 before the temperature dropped and we started having to use the heat. Mixed driving it was 270. Chevy was pretty conservative when stating their range.

350 miles. 10 minute full charge.

To be fair, I sold a car to Carvana and in one of the pictures they posted, they zoomed in on a small tear in the back door trim. I thought they were very honest in that regard. They also have a 7 day/400 mile return policy which is better than a used car test drive. The only thing is the inspection - I check small
