You would be correct, and I have…but at least those have some nutritional value.

Oh, dear, I don't like whiskey because I am not manly enough? That is so beyond lame. I'm just not someone who's lame enough to keep consuming a product I didn't like the first time until I "acquire a taste for it" so people will think I'm manly and cool. Nobody likes whiskey the first time except for born alcoholics.…
As I've been saying the last few weeks, Varga is terrible, and If I stop watching, it will be because of him. He's a terrible character performed terribly.
Does the difference matter? They all taste terrible.
Clearly it isn't… but it should be. The HII is supposed to bounce back on whoever gets the second most votes…but she didn't get any votes.
Well, why did you have to ruin my only consolation from that final 3? I still think she deserved to win, even though I have found her very off-putting since her first day the first time around. Him, I wasn't sure about…She was an obvious Trumpanzee from day 1.
Yeah, I just have to comfort myself with the belief that Culpepper was a Trumpanzee also. I didn't like any of the final 3. Culpepper was a bully jock-bro, Sarah was practically a moron, but had that weird Tony thing about always being able to find the right side, and Troyzan who seems like a decent guy just didn't do…
You can add Kansas City and Minneapolis to that list. There was a lot of cross-pollination between KSHE in St. Louis, KY102 in KC, and whoever the top AOR stations were in Chicago and Mpls, with DJ's moving around between the 4 cities on a pretty regular basis. A "KSHE Klassic" was also a "KY Klassic", etc., etc.
It's actually about Jane Fonda, back in her political days
"They do respect her buuuuuut
They love to watch her strut!"
Speaking of KSHE, they were also big boosters of Rush, and a lot of other prog rock bands. You'd be surprised at how many '70's bands out there will acknowledge the debt they owe KSHE for getting their name out in the middle of the U.S.
KSHE was also on the Journey train before almost anyone else. Actually come to think of it, KSHE was very friendly to a lot of San Francisco album rock artists in the '70's helping them get known in the midwest.
Maybe he is among the hipster d-bags that populate the AV Club, but in the real world he's one of the more successful musicians of the rock era. He just doesn't meet some arbitrary definition of "cool".
That's what I thought..but why does Armstrong eat all the shit for it? He just perfected it, he didn't invent it. Lemond and Hampsten were raising the alarm in the early 1990's but still no one wants to take away Indurain's victories even though he CLEARLY was cheating. A man his size summitting HC climbs with the…
I had a friend who tried out for the 1960 Olympics who said that even then there were riders who were suspiciously faster on race day (amphetamines) than on training ride. The U.S. blood doping scandal was at the 1984 Olympics, although it was not technically illegal yet (I knew one of those guys too).
I would go as far as saying it's a great movie, especially for it's time.
It's because he was "teaching her a lesson". It's like when a wifebeater beats his wife around the torso so she can still go out in public.
I really don't see how that changes anything on a threat and humiliation angle.
Don't even pretend that's the same. He drinks his own piss voluntarily. That is not the existential humiliation that Sy was forced into. That was almost the equivalent of a prison rape.
I'm gonna say it again…Varga/Thewlis is ruining the season for me. I don't know if I can stick it out, as much as I like a lot of the other characters/actors. The character is awful, and unlike bad guys from other seasons has no charisma. His henchman are terrible too.
I don't get it. How the hell did Michaela end up in the cross-hairs?
