Led Zep was post British Invasion. They were actually formed out of the wreckage of the Yardbirds, and did not release their first album until 1969. All those other bands came over between 1963-1965.

Every time they mention "Ghostbusters" and "I Want a New Drug" I am always surprised that they don't mention that both songs are a rip-off of "Soul Finger" by the Bar-Kays.
I've never understood the hate either. I'm not going to say I love the song, but it doesn't bother me.
Fun Fact: My great-uncle Don Wilcox was one of the most prolific pulp writers of the 1940's, publishing 90+ stories in Amazing Stories and Fantastic Adventures under several names(he also used Miles Shelton, Cleo Eldon, Buzz-Bolt Atomcracker, the Ziff Davis house name Alexander Blade, among others. He also published…
Actually, since so many of their songs were call and response, as often as not Mary Weiss would be positioned on one side of the stage, and the other girls would be on the other side of the stage and they would sing back and forth to each other. You can see it in some of the old Youtube Videos.
It's a travesty that they have never seriously been considered for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are every bit as good as the Shirelles and the Ronettes, and quite frankly, how many people remember more than one song by those two groups. The Shangri-las have at least 3 songs that still get airplay (Leader of the…
That was probably a side effect of being a "lonely home-schooled kid". I think she has significant gaps in her knowledge in terms of that type of stuff.
Now, if only he had run spell check on his title…"Compliation"???
only 5 people knew…Kalinda, Finn, Castro, Diane and the cousin, do you think any of the other 4 would have sold him out?
I'm surprised no one has said this yet…Castro totally ratted out the witness to bishop!
You can't let the audience (and particularly 'shippers) tell you how to plot your show. That's what loony fanfic writers are for.
Articles like this make me dispair for TV criticism in this country. Anyone who thinks they "trashed the premise" of the show just wasn't paying attention. It was clear from episode 1 that the mother was dead, there is no other reason he would be telling the story. Robin was the logical endgame, that's why she was…
Dude, it's Rachelle Lefevre, not Rebecca
Actually, much like ZZ Top's "Under Pressure", this is a song about a woman who is too much for the singer, who is trying his best to keep up:
"Taking more than her share
Deputy Linda was really too stupid to live. It was a wonder she could walk and breathe at the same time. They had to keep robbing her of IQ points to keep her from figuring Big Jim out.
Black Cindy's back story was by far the biggest mis-step of the season. It could have been written by a Klansman, it was such a collection of racist stereotypes about black women.
It was probably good that Fischer got fired. Her inability to impose discipline would have gotten her killed, or somebody killed rescuing her sooner or later.
I think now that Donnie's next move is to drive to Quentin Tarantino's house and call The Wolf.
And don't forget Geri Jewell as Jewel on Deadwood, and Cousin Geri on Facts Of Life.
You should check out his book "In The Spirit Of Crazy Horse" about the story of Leonard Peltier and the FBI's War on the American Indian Movement.
