It was done with past generations though, with the hit in graphic fidelity and no one cared that the graphics looked uglier, if a N64 can render four screens at a time you can’t say a PS4 cannot do the same by downgrading the graphics.

This is why I haven’t touched my copy of Melee in years, Smash 4 is just better balance which means a larger pool of characters that are good, instead of the same old fox only matches...even Smash 64 is better at this point.
