That’s fair. I’m a huge, huge MCU fan(and just a huge comics fan in general). But I also understand very well Scorsese’s “they’re not cinema” statement and find myself agreeing with it more often than not. Their best aspects are not tied to filmmaking. As films go, “mediocre” isn’t too unkind a way to describe them.

i’m betting Animal Crossing has twice as many articles as Endgame. What does this mean? I don’t know, that people love mediocrity?

I still find it funny that a lot of people insist nobody likes Avatar and it only made so much money because it was re-released and it was in 3D and stuff, but fail to realize that no matter how many times it was released, people wouldn’t have gone to see it if they didn’t want to. Nobody was forcing anyone to watch

Yes. Because things that are fun and well done are better than schadenfreude.

It’s funny to me that Avatar and Justice League get a shit-ton of negative attention, yet both are talked about—albit badly—while Avengers:Endgame is completely forgotten. All three movies are mediocre, yet it’s only Avatar and Justice League, the lesser of the 3, that are still talked about now.

Congratulations on being the first person to point out Avatar’s unoriginality.

Wow, it’s a good thing Biden is chock full of that magical “electability” stuff everyone was talking about, otherwise I’d be worried!

Queue the posters complaining that Jezebel is covering what a candidate says, no matter out stupid it is.

I mean, who could have possibly seen this coming out of the blue.

A white man policing blackness is bad enough. But what really got me was that no one had brought up possibly voting for Trump. This was in response to basic, legitimate questions about his record. This is part of a pattern with him, and is one of the main problems with his primary argument for his candidacy being “I’m

It’s not an either/or situation. We need to call out this stuff- every fucking time. 45 isn’t the first racist, classist, sexist tone deaf old white guy politician- he’s just the worst. Nobody should get a pass ever again because that’s how we got here. Most of us are going to hold are noses and vote for Biden I

No one’s allowed to criticize the Democratic nominee. Ever. Not before, during or after their term. It helps the Republican.

There is not a single person reading this website who thinks someone besides Biden is going to be the nominee. This is such a BS strawman and I think you probably know this.

Who is even thinking about Bernie or Warren as a nominee at this point? I’m well aware that he’s going to be the nominee, and it’s strange that literally any observation of Biden being less-than-perfect turns into someone in the comments accusing me or Jezebel at large of being deluded about the reality we find

Ha! So this trash rolled on this other trash. Good.

Hopefully better than Drag Race.

This is the #notallmen of pseudo feminism.

If you’re trying to wrap your brain around why certain white people have such a hysterical reaction to the mere notion of black empowerment, just take a moment to consider what white people have historically done with their power.

@avclub-ddcc9a27eecf227bb9087e99e07c96be:disqus : that's true, but it's not all direction. How about Predator? The last 30 minutes where Arnie and the Predator have their show down, very little dialogue, but again, he let's the audience know what's going on in the character's head via facial and body expression.

Disagree on Arnie. Watch Conan the Barbarian or Terminator: little spoken dialogue, but Arnie uses his body and facial expression to communicate and bring the character(s) to life. He's a great non-verbal actor, and I think it comes from his body building days, he knows how to use and display his body for a
