I’ve always wondered how many of the Tebows, Wilsons, Broussards...might be gay — like forever reasons (cultural, religious, etc), their sexuality has been repressed. They use religion as sort of a safe haven to protect themselves against judgement, even if it is on a subconscious level.

Haha, I have and I really enjoy a lot of what I read here. But I admit a bit perplexed regarding their opinion of Cowherd. Ya ya, the John Wall thing, others, but I think he brings a unique perspective. Basically I just think the interesting shit he does outweighs his fuck ups.

He considers himself socially liberal, fiscally conservative. I agree he can be obnoxious at times, and has definitely has had terrible moments...but he is far from a right-wing nut job...I actually think he adds to the public sphere and have never really understood the intense hatred Deadspin shows toward him.
