Funny how as a Libertarian you want to impose an action to a private company. Is it irony?

As a libertarian you should know censorship only applies to governments, not private companies. Hatred can still be developed and sold, Valve has just made it clear that it won't be available on Steam.

You're not really making sense any more. It's Steam's store, they have the right to stock any game they want to stock. The developers can still sell the game through their site and other methods, it's completely up to Valve if they sell it or not -as it is with any type of store.

It's not censorship. This is the equivalent of not stocking a book in your bookstore because it advocates Nazi behaviour or something. It's their store, they can do what they want, it's not like the game is being pulled from the internet or actually censored at all.

Before saying that the media are "doing the same thing" as Jack Thompson, perhaps it would be best to read up on what Jack Thomspon actually did. I don't see any call for government intervention here, nor do I see a bunch of crazy lawsuits, or attempts to get the developers of Hatred arrested. Research. All I'm sayin'…

There is no censorship involved here. No one is stopping people from developing Hatred, and nothing is stopping you from playing it if you really want to. You're just not going to be able to do it on Steam.

Steam is not the government, nor does it control all distribution channels for PC games. The creators of Hatred are free to continue developing their game, but Valve is under no obligation to carry it.

I think it's fair to suggest that maybe Valve should consider having a Porn/AO section, but that's an idea for them to consider, not something they have to do. They are well within their rights to not host a game on Greenlight or eventually publish the game on Steam.

They can still express it, as that's their right. Steam's just not gonna publish it.

Really hard to be interested in a game where the whole point of it existing is for the fact of just pissing people off. Makes the creators sound like grade schoolers who just like to annoy the other kids.

People commonly to listen / value the opinions of people like them, so these folks probably thought they were showing their fellow white people the contrast between how the justice system treats whites vs. how it treats minorities.

My impression was that the hashtag isn't for educating black people about how nice the cops are to white people, but educating fellow white people on their own hypocrisy.
