Lowering the top brings the CG backwards and puts more weight on the rear wheels, which are providing power. Totally practical move to increase traction.

Yes warming up is good, but most of the wear has already occurred by the time the engine starts anyway. A couple (2-3) minutes is fine, then drive like a grandma until it reaches operating temp. Also, no one wants to listen to your stupid aftermarket exhaust truck warm up outside their goddamm window for 10-15 minutes

This inspires me to go start all 8 of my cars for no reason.

My owner manual says to start driving immediately, without letting it idle to warm up. So that’s what I do.
