As a poor kid growing up, I remember waiting in a line with Grandma and getting a whole block of government cheese.
I am so sick of her not being exactly what everyone wants her to be all the time. It’s like she isn’t even trying to take all of our criticism simultaneously. I liked her at first but then she was too likeable and now I hate her but she just keeps being Jennifer Lawrence and I am just like HELLO, HAVE YOU SEEN OUR…
Ha! My parents built their house in 1976, and my mom just finally redecorated to remove the avocado green, harvest gold, and rust orange. I kind of miss the old harvest gold bell rotary phone with the extra long cord.
I don’t get some of these home shows.
“Antiseptic”, “cold”, “impersonal”, or “IKEA-by-the-numbers”? Sure. But I don’t think I’d go as far as calling it properly “ugly.”
I think EVERY recent reno in Brooklyn has that tile in the kitchen and bathroom. I hate it.
fun fact:
I use to be friends with Britney shes so nice
“The people of Gizmodo.” Guess what, man: we’ve found your fort, and we’re bringing all our friends and a case of Natty Light and a boombox, and there ain’t nothing you can do about it.
There were a lot of ways she fell through the cracks because of her mom’s abuse and outside coincidence - sometimes a doctor wouldn’t provide the diagnosis the mom was looking for, so they would just change doctors. Or the fact that they were victims of Hurricane Katrina, so the mom just claimed the medical records…
This is another serious question - who was operating on a patient that obviously didn’t have the conditions that would require the operations? It sounds like a serious breach of ethics on the part of the surgeons. The whole thing is heart-wrenching. The daughter should have been taken away from this monster by social…
We believe, sincerely, that smart young female voters can do better than what the Clinton camp has made available to them, and that was an integral part of our pitch to the campaign.
Someone on her campaign looked at the primary coverage and came to the reasonable conclusion that giving an interview here was a lose-lose situation.
I know exactly how that feels
What? Did you actually listen to the Another Round episode with Hillary? They joked with her, sure, but they pressed her on policy as well. Positioning yourselves as the only women’s media to bother asking real questions is probably not the best look.
SHE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU OKAY?
Counterpoint: I thought it was well-done and an accurate representation of how Hillary supporters feel about her and the hypothetical scenario presented in the storyline. I didn’t find it cringe worthy and loved it.
I thought it was funny and fit Ilana’s character perfectly.
Her letter to The Toast slightly lessened the pain of it closing. Talk about micro-targeting! It was pretty awesome that she would send something to such a small, relatively obscure website, and it made my day to see it.
