It honestly wouldn’t be that hard. Our healthcare spending per capita is several times more than any other industrialized country; hell, even if you just count the public expenditures, and leave private out completely, we still spend more than most. A well-designed system would actually save money.

Kimmel’s political stance has made me like him more, not less. He cuts through all the snark that Colbert has to use to deliver the same message and goes straight for being heartfelt and honest. It just works. 

It’s my understanding that Kimmel’s ratings have gone up as he’s been more consistently political, but I wouldn’t be shocked if certain cowardly sponsors have left his show as a result. As if anything he’s been talking about should be the slightest bit controversial.
