I have been known to mutter “at least she loves the Go-Go’s” to myself whenever my 13 year old daughter is being a total 13 year old.

I guess it’s the cranky in me but I think it’s so weird/gross that people take photos of unsuspecting people and post them to social media, even if the intent is good natured. Like, just enjoy the music and let others be.
Sorry Bitch Sesh!!!
The wig from Nottinghill! Thanks Bitchfest on Earwolf.
Great article!! Really, really comprehensive and good.
Perhaps Jezebel could spend 10 seconds writing an introduction of the subject of their articles.
That Daily News headline tho.
Thank you for sharing that. The Republican perception regarding women who get abortions is that they are all evil, dirty sluts or doe-eyed children. They can’t imagine an intelligent woman who is a decent, normal person deciding to have an abortion.
I take tremendous offense at the notion that I am a victim. I am not a victim of my abortion. My abortion provider was a wonderful, gentle man who treated me kindly and with respect. He didn’t talk me into anything, I sought out his services of my own free will and I have never once regretted my choice. I was not in…
I found the same thing. To relax and enjoy myself (to completion) I had to really trust my partner and that made any casual encounters more frustrating than fun.
I also think it’s interesting that you use the term “rush to judgment or carry prejudice against people based on race or gender.” But that’s exactly what occurred here. Three black women said they were victims of a hate crime, and we all rushed to the judgment that it must be true. We tweeted our support for them, the…
I am not saying we should ignore the past. I am saying that while we still have racist issues, we absolutely have moved beyond the point where a black person gets lynched for holding the hand of a white woman. Comparing this circumstance to, or using it as justification for black women to assault a white woman is…
“what could’ve incited the women accused of assault”
Ahhh, so the victim was asking for it?
It’s not just the video. Do you see how busy that bus is? Not everyone on it was involved in the assault. The police officers interviewed several bystanders, who all said that the black women were the ones who initiated the assault. Now, don’t get me wrong, you can go ahead and believe that everybody lied if you want,…
What the hell does the picture have to do with the story, though? What does it have to do with the outrage that these women lied about being assaulted? Are you suggesting that if a white person lied about assault from a black person today that the black person would be lynched? I realize that racism still exists, but…
No. It really doesn’t. It’s a distraction and derailing of the article above.
Still, there’s debate over whether the video of the incident released tells the full story about what could’ve incited the women accused of assault.
Nothing someone says to you can justify assault. We actually have a legal term for this: Provocation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provocati…).
It’s almost as though groups of people are still, at their core, individuals.
We always seem to recognize this within our own peer groups. “Well, certainly there are SOME bad people in X group, but not I, and not others I know!”...but then something like this happens and immediately that distinction is lost.
Regardless…
False accusations do not just destroy the credibility or reputation of the accuser but of every single actual victim who attempts to seek justice.
