This has been mentioned before...Acura execs getting jealous that their individual cars “Legend” and “Integra” had better name recognition than “Acura” as a brand, so they renamed them the “RL” and “RSX” and then slowly killed whatever public goodwill they had. Their fix? To make their lineup more and more bland yet

Neutral: In the twin cities, the days are shorter, it’s cold but fortunately not that cold and the carjackings are now a thing again because teens took their love for all things ‘90s too far.

Around the point where she said she said, “I signed something saying if I’m wrong...” you can see Representative Lex Luthor’s demeanor shift from “this doesn’t make sense” to “I gotta get this girl to the keg and then back to my dorm room...:

I know plenty of people from North Dakota and they’re the first ones to tell you, there’s nothing there worth talking about. But hey, Yes, don’t debate the merits of the topic, just spend your time complaining.

I use the manufacturer’s website just to learn about the car’s features and options but I ignore price. For pricing, I look at dealer websites for inventory and TrueCar/Edmunds to get an idea of market price for negotiation targets.

At least there’s a toggle switch to turn that off. Tesla’s site is simpler than others from a build/price standpoint. I just wish they had more information on their vehicles on their own site.

All of the vehicles I mentioned actually do exist. They’re just not being manufactured, all planned for 2021.

The fact that you have to link an explainer article is proof that it’s a bad slogan that fails to communicate intent.

Those are not “fair and interesting” points. They are absolutely ignorant of technological achievements being made today.

Two crazy aspects: First, he went to hotel management, who was handling the situation before he inserted himself and escalated. Second, his response to getting punch in the face should be to punch back, not to immediately pull a gun and fire. That’s the response if the kid pulls a weapon, which he did not.

Only bringing you out of the gray because you prove my point.

The problem is that persuading people has taken too long, especially these rural people whose ignorance we keep excusing and romanticizing. They need to get on board because the Earth can’t wait for them. I work in insurance and was at a business meeting. Climate change is the biggest financial risk to the industry.

The problem, as I see it, is that too many people complain about “but how will we get it done? Nothing is in place today...” and this has been going on for over 20 years. We’re stagnant on this issue because we as a society would rather sit on our hands instead of throwing a ton of resources at resolving the problems

Anyone else having problems with Kinja on iOS? It keeps logging me out and when I log back in, I’m logged out for comments. Is that why comments are a ghost town on these sites lately?

How did Webigal Blanderquack miss out on the Great Trump Grift train? She’s just the kind of unearned entitlement and national profile in lack-of-courage to have gotten in the administration as, Deputy Education Secretary for Higher Education or something.

My next vehicle will be either a Y or Mach-e, though I’m leaning Tesla. I test drove the Performance and it was otherworldly fast. But...for me, it’s about

They need to get a veteran on staff that has an idea how chain of command works. A captain who slots their favorite buddy as XO just looks incompetent. Making Burnham XO kind of made sense based on her experience but also she’s a disciplinary nightmare and the show couldn’t even make that last five episodes.

The reason it works better in Lower Decks is because the plots are small, second contact stories that can be centered around the captains daughter fucking up things. Discovery has the problem of placing the fate of the universe in Michael's hands every season. The stakes are just too big on this series.

I can’t wait for them to settle in...just in time for the creditors to liquidate the golf course and these cottages.
