My first thought was the traditional Florida brake/accelerator dysmorphia.  Usually they only go a few feet into a plate glass window but plenty of room to build up launch velocity here.  

My father managed to squeak by the age requirement in Texas this year. He said that he seriously doubted he could pass the driving test. I asked him whether he thinks he is still safe to drive and he of course said “Yes”.

When my grandmother got to be about 80, she would call every once in a while to tell us that something was wrong with her car. She’d just be driving along, and it would just randomly pop up on the curb.

All the olds that live in suburbia and exurbia are walking/driving death traps as they age in place in their big houses where nothing is walkable and there is no transit. Its already a major issue and its only going to get worse.

Great catch. Every interview I’ve ever seen of Townsend shows him to be beautifully blunt to a fault. I always found his honesty refreshing as compared to the fake bravado and vapidness of most superstars of his caliber.

Why do people make such stupid comments without ever reading the article? It’s right there in the article saying it’s going to electric AWD. This is what is wrong with America. Preconceived prejudice and willful ignorance while refusing to ever even bother considering the facts.
