Abuse victims face a lot of challenges emotionally and logistically. I hope you can one day realize this.

This really is such bullshit. Marijuana is already legal in some states, and probably will be legal everywhere in 10 years. And much less harmful bodily and socially than alcohol.

Domestic violence is a crime everywhere. and clearly destructive. it makes no sense

False accusations are definitely a problem, but how MUCH of a problem compared to domestic abuse? Surely it is legitimate domestic violence and sexual assault (and their under-reporting) are much bigger problems than false accusations.

Yes, it is too early to make a sound judgement about what happened, but we cannot discount that if the accused is rich/powerful, there is an incentive for witnesses not to be truthful. ie, they are his friends, sticking up for the rich guy.
