I’d be more concerned, on a personal level, with the supporters. The administration is overtly targeting dissent within multiple institutions, but the supporters are much more target-specific. And the most reactionary of those seem to hinge their principals and politics on emotional affectation. A volatile mix.

Donald Trump’s transition team has asked the Energy Department for a list of names of all agency employees and contractors who worked on the Obama administration’s climate change policy. A 74-point questionnaire, first reported on by Bloomberg and obtained by Politico, is being circulated by the DOE.

I am in law enforcement and the military. Many of my colleagues were public, vocal, and sometimes vicious about their disdain for President Obama. I never agreed with it (politically, and in principal), but I never criticized them for their right to express it. That was their right.

...I hope the rest of us can figure out how to do without them, either.

I thought that the firing of federal workers for purely political reasons was against the law? Bush got into trouble for politicization of firing of U.S. attorneys in 2006.
