Honestly, I see it as unlikely. Xenosaga was basically an attempt to recreate the story of Xenogears with a slight bit of credible variation. That got killed off at Episode III because it got too expensive.

But copyright law dictates that they must defend their IP, no matter the circumstance. If they didn’t do that, they would be failing their shareholders by leaving more valuable IPs at risk. That’s something people fail to appreciate here.
