I’m surprised decades of the one-child policy has yielded severe repercussions [yet].     They can’t all have given up on trying to find a wife en masse. 

It’s hard being a parent in the modern age. Back in my youth, there were no cellphones or online games. I didn’t even have a nintendo or any console or computer until college.

He seems unapologetically devoted to providing fan service in a time where that’s becoming frowned upon by a vocal contingent.   MGSV was awful in that regard. I hope it doesn’t detract from DS too badly. It’s the sort of thing that fits into the Yakuza series just fine on the side, but maybe not so much in a game…

some minor spoilers, but nothing we wouldn’t quickly figure out in relation to game mechanics (eg Sam’s specialness).  

yeah, that would be kind of funny if the game is beatable in like 4-5 hours by the time that January rolls in with little effort.   I expect that this is not the case, but that remains to be seen.

the recent appearance of cheap airline fares has caused a massive influx of Chinese tourists into Osaka and I guess Kyoto and pretty much a lot of other parts of Japan. The galling part is that they’re really helping to reinforce a bad stereotype of being obnoxiously loud and generally inconsiderate.   

even without kids, it can utterly disappointing to have to forgo an anticipated evening of gaming when stuff like this happens after a long day at the office.

this is exactly why I don’t bother playing games on PC. Look at all that’s involved with trying to get the install working...

as long as it’s not as slow and depressing as the animated godzilla movies, I’m in.    It’s not my preferred art style, but I can live with if it’s written well.
