its this striving towards photo realism and other technical aspects that’s to account for the huge increase in budget. devs need to rein that back in a bit or at least there needs to be improvements in technology to ease the workflow.

they need to somehow cut their advertising budget. does dropping $30 mil on that even help when word of mouth from a solid base should already do the trick?

translation: [executive leadership] damn, we’re not getting yachts for Christmas

seriously. this is a massive waste of free time.

“the journey is the reward” or some sort of cheesy shit like that.

get a ps3 or xbox 360 on the cheap already...

If Rockstar achieves this, then it’ll redeem them for alot of the lackluster writing of GTA4 and GTA5.

I haven’t completed the prequel, but, I was enjoying it lots more than Borderlands 2. Plus, laser guns!

that’s such a boring, predictable ending. I hope they’re trying a bit harder than that.

Max Payne 3 was more of a story about failure and redemption than RDR was. RDR was more of a tale about the end of the old west, and RDR2 is seems like more of a continuation of that. I’m still puzzled about why they thought this was a good design decision, but...at the same time it’s probably so that they can make

can people still play their virtual console purchases on older hardware?

correct. I almost panicked when I couldn’t find a physical copy of 5 at my place a few weeks ago. I thought I’d misplaced it. it doesn’t exist in the US.

I’ve bought every game that’s available for the U.S. market, but time and time again, it failed to hook my interest...

I honestly can’t tell the difference, but that’s b/c I don’t have a 4K TV that takes full advantage of the Pro I guess. I know it’s an improvement (especially for the Last Guardian, which I’ll assume is still poorly optimized), but the improvements, more subtle to notice. Ironically...I still haven’t played the Last

I got the impression that not a lot of ppl played it, like gta4, and that it wasn’t until gta5 that the mp really took off.

i’m glad I wasn’t the only irritated by this.

focus was too much on cryptic story beats. oh well...hope the game comes out fine!

they’ve always been a little stiff. It’s the old Rockstar stiffness.

thx!

thanks for the heads up. had you not mentioned it, I would not have known.
