Nope

Neither did I for most of the show, because Sansa was still a girl. But IMO she has grown up to be a very attractive woman.

Maybe they're not as annoying (though I think I disagree), but they're even more forgettable.

I don't think the show has the time necessary (and probably lack the storytelling and writing chops) to effectively write Littlefinger. Show Littlefinger is essentially the bumbling opposite of treacherous book Littlefinger.

The "Ellaria in power" concept works better when you think of it as a coup or usurpation rather than an accession to the throne. She took the throne by force outside of the lines of succession. Of course, the show didn't lay the ground work establishing how Ellaria could make such a coup stick. I guess we just have

I took the "Break the Wheel" speech to mean that she wanted to cripple the powers of the feudal nobility and serve as an absolute monarch.

But he already betrayed the Lannisters by siding with the Boltons.

The same person who's in charge of it now- Sweetrobin. But instead of Littlefinger being his regent, Sansa and Yohn Royce (the leader of the Lords of the Vale) would be guiding him.

I made this same point in discussions here last night. There's no reason for Littlefinger to be alive anymore. Anyone whose support he would need to remain Warden of the Eyrie (Sansa, the Lords of the Vale, Jon, Cersei) hates him and wouldn't care if he died (if they don't already actively wish him dead- as Sansa

More like a wizard or an occultist than a priest. He certainly didn't respect the established religions, but he was a practitioner of dark arts. The show version has completely stripped the mysticism from Euron, which would be like if the show had a version of Bran who couldn't warg.

Quentyn's story was basically a dickless sex scene in literary form. But I'd rather watch a season of nothing but Ramsay-Theon torture scenes than go back and read another Areo Hotah chapter. At least the show did Hotah justice and have him stabbed to death by a 90 pound woman wielding a pearing knife.

Judging from these comments, I think everyone thought of that except for the writer of this episode.

I agree. I liked her first appearance, but I find her more and more irritating with each outburst.

I think her actual name is Stabby Snake. Her sisters were named Whippy and Speary, but they're dead now.

Yeah, but presumably they'll also notice that the greyscale patient has had all of his scales skinned off of him too. Might as well get the poppy milk, Sam, because you're going to get busted for this. Maybe Sam heard Jeor tell some unflattering Jorah stories about selling people off as slaves and was administering

I still think the characterization of Euron is way off. Show Euron is nowhere close to the menacing wizard pirate abomination that Book Euron represents. Rather, IMO Show Euron is more like book Victarion mixed with Captain Jack Sparrow.

The show faced a huge problem- it probably would have been best to completely cut out Dorne altogether (like what happened with FAegon), but if you cut out Dorne you lose the Red Viper and his iconic battle with the Mountain as well as the Myrcella death angle. IMO, the book sections regarding Dorne were terrible.

I didn't know that Ellaria being behind Myrcella's death was established as common knowledge, but I have to assume that it is based on Euron's actions and Tyrion's comments in this episode.

That's an interesting theory and probably at least partially correct. As I said above, at this point I think that Littlefinger's only still around because he has some function in the end game of the story as a whole that would make sense in the context of the books but not in the context of the show. In the show,

Didn't the Lannisters grant Bronn Harrenhall after Littlefinger defected to supporting the Boltons?
