This was an ok episode. It seemed very short, and it was surprising to see that Cricket had a father with a thriving business- you'd think that this would have come up long before Cricket hit rock bottom. The dog twist was unexpected, but I didn't find it particularly funny either for some reason.

Jever pils also deserves a mention. I'm a huge Weihenstephaner fan in general, but I think that Jever is the best German pils (and, IMO, the best pils I've ever had).

I have always liked what the Ponderosas add to the show, especially Bill. He's such a scumbag that even most of the Gang looks down on him (except for Frank, who loves to party with him). I think Bill Ponderosa is a top tier Sunny side character.

As far as kids movies go, I didn't think the Jason Lee / David Cross Chipmunks movies were that bad. They didn't make me want to throw the tv across the room (unlike Dora the Explorer, Wonder Pets, and such things). Looking back, I'd say they're better than the Chipmunks cartoons from the 80s (which I grew up with).

You're probably onto something there. I came from a blue-collar family, and Roseanne, including the extended cast, seemed very real and familiar to me. Plus, the talent (in both acting and writing) made it better than similar competitors / imitators (e.g. Grace Under Fire).

The first few seasons of Roseanne are fantastic and are up there with some of the all-time greats of sitcom history. I'd say they far surpass anything that Home Improvement did. I agree with you that Roseanne declined to the point of unwatchability, but that doesn't change the excellence of the first three seasons.

Looks like someone hasn't watched the last two or three seasons of Full House. I have an elementary school aged daughter who likes to watch Full House re-runs, so I've watched inordinate amounts of full house over the past few years.
