Then we just have to agree to disagree. I think for the most part the show made use of the best parts of AFFC and ADWD and mitigated the worst parts. They had the good sense to excise fAegon and Jon Connington; too bad they didn't do the same to Dorne. But they're stuck with things like Arya in Braavos, Dany in…

Possibly. I certainly don't think that the show is perfect or that Seasons 5 and 6 are flawless. But I have enjoyed them overall.

I don't think the first scenario would have worked- the waif was charged with taking Arya's face with her.

Not really (though I do think they're good). I've barely mentioned them in this discussion. I've just been pointing out all the ways the last two books suck, which they most certainly do.

You're taking this personally, aren't you? Weird.

I think Dorne was terrible overall in the books and the show, but you're comparing the best part of book Dorne to the worst part of show Dorne.

I'm just not a fan of crappy, unedited fantasy spit out by someone with severe writer's block. But words are wind, nuncle. Seasons 5 and 6 are unquestionably better than AFFC and ADWD.

I don't think the waif was fully trained.

Book Braavos Arya is pretty boring, unfortunately.

But your unnecessarily long edit says that you don't want justifications…

Not really.

But she'll fog up the glass and you won't be able to see her!

It's GRRM's fault for sending her to Braavos in the first place, then removing the 5 year gap. The book solution to this problem won't be any more satisfyin (not like any more books will come out anyway).

B / B- is just about right for this episode. Nothing about it was bad. I think some people are just peeved that their theories aren't panning out.

I hated Lady Stoneheart in the book, and I'm glad that she's not going to be in the show.

Using Little Sam as a way to gauge how much time has passed in the show is dangerous, I know, but dude seemed to age pretty rapidly during that boat journey, no?

And now, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty:

I watched Batman TAS every single day, but I still preferred the X-Men cartoon.

I've also noted that the X-Men theme song sounded like Whitney Houston, just sped up a little bit.

I was wondering the same thing (as was probably everyone else). They'll need to address this question right away- there's no handwaving it.
