as someone who only started watching breaking bad because i knew odenkirk was on it, i definitely prefer the saul show overall.
as the show goes on, I would argue that it surpasses Breaking Bad.
It definitely doesn’t need them - the show got to its final season and has been critically acclaimed so its not like adding viewership does anything now.
this man is hot and stupid and I love that in a summer boy.
I am very curious what unexpected direction this episode is going to go in. It is in this show’s DNA to constantly subvert expectations, and they’re leading us on to think we know what’s going to happen with Walt and Jesse coming back...
I don’t know if Better Call Saul needs any “wayward fans” from Breaking Bad. If they were fans they would probably be watching along with the rest of us.
I would love a Gus prequel about his time in Chile.

I was waiting for Gene to go into the security office the day of the crime, only to find out the security guy had a heart attack from all the sugar
The manager seems very observant. If she still has time to notice something before they cycle the tapes, she still might.
Jim will always be a Jerry, even as a mall cop, he jerryed up security for sure.
In the split screen montage there is a very quick shot of “SG WAS HERE” carved into something. Maybe near the dumpsters. Have to believe that comes back to haunt him.
He did it for leverage on Jeffy. Although he does love the action.
“Both Sides Now” kind of gave me a lump in my throat, but there’s no pathos at all in the clip of her singing Gershwin’s “Summertime” - she’s just nailing it.
It would be strange to mention Paul Simon in an article about Joni Mitchell.
I own one of those bakeries where the employees refused to make a same-sex wedding cake. I fired them.
