Yeah, is there any way things will improve? At some point Miller might wind up doing something even worse (*shudder*), and even the “Well, they’re a bit of a train wreck, but JL was OK, and I like Affleck and would love to see Keaton as Batman again ...” crowd may turn against this.

yeah sounds like someone decided something was a spoiler before actually watching it.

I went back to watch/listen since Sally kind of mumbled it. Also checked the closed captions. It was “Oh, you do?”

Yeah, that scene was intense and hard to watch. Maybe not what people who came for SNL Bill Hader wanted to see, but if something feels real and moves you, isn’t that good art/entertainment?

Between this and Righteous Gemstones, it’s been a banner year for evil motocross goons on HBO

And the Emmy for Outstanding Sound Editing for this episode right alongside it. I was convinced a tiger was going to come crashing right the fuck through that wall, but the sounds of it dying were so much worse.

Fuches is the one who helped put this in motion. Now that he has embraced “The Raven” and is in jail, could he have a change of heart and confess to save his “creation”? Sally owes Barry a solid, for allowing her to leave the crime scene and brush off the deed—could she come up as an alibi? And Cousineau can be

I considered that as well but the Hank scenes wouldn’t make sense then.

If the cops would’ve killed Barry, and this was the series finale, I would’ve loved it and thought it a fine conclusion. But knowing there’s another season made this whole episode feel empty and unsatisfying in the end. Maybe they have a planned end and it’ll work out, I don’t know, but everything felt wrapped up to

I started seeing movies in the theaters again in May 2021. What works for me is waiting until a week or two after the movie is released and going either really early in the morning or late at night. If you can go to a less popular theater that also helps. So far I’ve never been in a theater with more than 5 other

You’re just further evidence that people don’t learn things even after two years.

So far, wearing an N-95 and going to movies during lightly-attended showings has worked fine for us. Still haven’t caught COVID afaik, despite seeing a movie about once per month since No Way Home. But obvs do what you’re comfortable with.

Oh, but it is! (Filming already.)

A study conducted yesterday by a man on himself concluded that self-reported anecdotal evidence is, in fact, both reliable and relevant.

Hey everyone, this guy has an anecdote. No need to worry about Covid anymore!

If we still lived in a non-pandemic world, I’d probably consider going to see this version. I love going to the movies, and I don’t mind seeing things multiple times. (Also in a non-pandemic world we’d still have the Arclight.) But now? Are you kidding?

It doesn’t really matter, the deplorables have already made up their mind anyhow. If Ezra Miller had never existed they’d still behave exactly the same way; they’re beyond redemption.

momma gonna grow the more she watches her daughter grow. Also it seemed something really resonated when momma was shown some of the male favouritism towards the brother.

Yeah, that seems to be a increasing problem with the writers here.

It’s refreshing and empowering to finally see some positive media representation for a people as maligned, mischaracterized and misunderstood as people from New Jersey.
