Seeing that they now BOTH have won the parts, it’s time to celebrate! Plus, I looked into Corenswet’s IMDB, I didn’t realize how many times I’ve already seen him. The man can act!

I don’t disagree. I’m sure Norton would have to ‘tone down’ his act for a US daytime audience, but even a ‘toned down’ Norton would be fun...until someone freaks out over a light blue joke. HAHA!
Norton would have been a fun choice for the US show!
I remember thinking he had that ‘Superman’ look when I first saw him in ‘Pearl’. Would be a good pick.
Honestly, I enjoyed it way more than any of the other DC Justice League related films. It was more fun and lighter than those others, even when it got ‘heavy’, imo. As much of a mess as the lead is in real life, they are undeniably charismatic in the role(s). But, as much as I didn’t care for the other DC/Snyder jams,…
“...has Ross been a Skrull in other MCU appearances, or did a Skrull turn into him immediately before this and the Ross from Wakanda Forever is still out there?”
The Blap.
I don’t know if it really matters or even accurate all of the time, but IMDB lists Smulders as being in all six episodes of the series. Also, could be flashbacks or a Skrull taking her place as the show goes on(?)
I had the same thought: SELL it to those directors and let them do the right thing with it!
Yeah, everything I have ever read mentions how profitable the channel is because they have very little outgoing pay. But, its never been a juggernaut in terms of income. I hope these (shitty) layoffs will be enough for Zaslav to leave it be.
I felt pretty much the same. The quiet emotional scenes worked remarkably well.
How you describe ‘Archie Bunker’s Place’ is exactly my meaning: “Wasn’t great or particularly memorable...” Why even do it if it can’t be at least ONE of those?
I can see why they’d want to continue...I mean, look at how successful ‘Archie Bunker’s Place’ and ‘AfterMASH’ were! (I know, I know...”What about ‘Frasier’ or ‘Laverne & Shirley’?” Just go with me on this one joke, OK?)
I’m too big a fan to not quibble with the order of this list, but I must applaud that you didn’t just stick to the radio friendly stuff. I’m glad to see songs like ‘Dinner with Delores’ and ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ on the list. Thanks!
I LOVED Treme too!
I can’t say I’m surprised, but I am really saddened by the news. It was a great show that friends and family of mine were all invested in and enjoying as a really uncommon pleasure. It was one of the best looking shows on TV and had GREAT writing and acting to go with it. But, since there was no great ‘watercooler’…
Halfway through the series now and the review is mostly spot on. Although I do have to say there is a pretty thrilling shoot out/action sequence in every episode. But, like the reviewer says, I’m not sure it adds up to anything...yet.
Absolutely agree. I really find myself grinning and occasionally belly laughing at this really amiable show. Hope there are more to come (after the writers’ strike!)
The Dani Rojas bit would have made more sense if we’d ever seen him be that ruthless with the regular opponents they play. Totally out of the blue and against the character just for a ‘laugh’ (that never comes.)
Man, I just feel like this is all we’re gonna get. The show wasn’t a big hit and it doesn’t have a big conceptual hook, nor does it have spectacle or big stars. But, everyone I know who watched it LOVED it! But with how Max wants to focus on reality shows (which make fools of people instead of lifting them up) I…
