Desmukes is filling the void that Davidson did for a couple of seasons. All Desmukes needs now is a signature character...or better yet, go the Akroyd, Hartman, Thompson route and become a utility player who can be funny and anchor a sketch as a straight man.

I don’t think one needs to be a legit actor to be fine on SNL. (They ENCOURAGE them to read the cue cards and most people are aware of that by now.) The original review is right, its the writing that was sub par, not Lizzo’s efforts.
