Agreed. Sometimes the conversation about whether the actor looks enough like the real world counterpart is fine for sketches, bits and skits. But when a longer term performance is called for, that shouldn’t be the main determination about who gets the part. At that point, its more about CAN they do the performance.
You are 100% on to something. I think he must be a very lonely guy because he never seems to allow himself to be ‘seen’ with anyone...he’s always shielding himself with snark.
Exactly! I was expecting Issa to mention that he also go on IG and other forums since that’s where he showed his ass originally!
For Caroline it’s all about appearances. How could she NOT have her daughter, whom she is SO close to, stand for her? Gross!
Right, getting Roman to side with him was only another power flex. He couldn’t give two shits about any of the kids and with Roman’s mishap last week, he couldn’t begin to feel any closer to the guy. He would dump Roman the first chance he got after shutting down the other two.
I had a similar reaction when Roman leaned on Kendall’s back like he did. It was the most human thing I’ve seen him do and it make me tear up that he’s actually got human emotions when needed. (Other than fear of his father, that is.)
When I was a much younger man, I felt a lot like Roman feels about his father. I feared my father as much as I loved him. (He was an ex-cop who couldn’t see that his ‘Intimidation’ button needed to be turned off at home once the shift was over.) So that pushing himself to face his father in opposition was a very…
Yes there were a bunch of people on the Viking movie set, but notice they were shooting outside. A good compromise, I bet.
OMG, that crucifix!! We had max cringe at his rehearsal, I wondered if they would have broken me had he actually gone out there and performed with the crucifix!
I was so worried that Greg would tell Kendall that he’s off the hook for jail time because it may inspire Kendall to get serious and go back to DOJ with some nastier details. I don’t recall for sure, but isn’t it the documents that Greg secreted away from the flames that Kendall is running with?
My vote for King Dork goes to Kendall. He’s in another galaxy in terms of how clueless and unaware he is of his own self. A real buffoon.
I have always loved her voice, but not always loved the songwriting. This album brings it home, though! I was surprised by some choices (the inclusion of the discussion with her son reminded me a lot of Stevie Wonder using his kid in ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ all those years ago, as well as more spoken word in another song…
He’s sub par in this (and was in the Showtime series “Your Honor”). But he is regularly an excellent actor. It’s probably a series of bad choices by the director and actors, compounded by lame dialogue.
Stick with it. There are surprises on the way. I am current right now and I can say that though Covid does figure in, its still in the background of the plot. No masks, no people falling ill on camera, etc. I think they are going to end the season just as the lockdown comes to America.
It’s not clear to me; whom has the moral compass, Kendall or Greg? My guess is you’re saying Greg since he’s not complicit in an accidental death.
No, I’m referring to Kendall. I know he’s been around the company longer than any of his siblings, but I’m not convinced he’s GOOD at the job or really knows what he’s doing.
Regarding the Stooges’ ability to garner the ladies, Curly was DEFINITELY known as a Ladies Man! Apparently when he wasn’t shaving his head for the movies/act, he was known for his CURLY blonde locks! There is a really cool pic I’m sure can be found on the internet of the three in their real clothes and posing...they…
Totally fits his persona!
That rung as a classic Brooks joke!
