I feel like Monty, Jasper, and the gang should find a way to escape Mount Weather just before the Grounder-sky people alliance goes into action. It would undercut the action but I like the idea of everyone being capable of survival on this show. No damsels in distress. Not even the dudes.

There definitely needs to be some recognition of the fact Alan Cumming was in both Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and Josie and the Pussycats…and excellent in both (though I prefer him in Josie and the Pussycats).
I like to think that Cumming is one of those guys who always looks for an opportunity to be like

I'm so happy that this film was told actually about and from Dr. King's perspective. It's so annoying to watch something like The Help, Invictus, Julie and Julia, or Sophie's Choice and have the important (and always more interesting) figures of the story be on the peripheries.

As an adult I appreciate how they decided to have Gonzo and Rizzo step out of the film for that part. It added to the impact of the moment and allowed the serious message of the story to shine through.

Patrick Stewart nails the Scrooge learning to laugh again scene too. One of those details that is often left out of adaptations.

Sam Eagle: It is the American way!
Gonzo: Psst..Sam *whispers in Sam's ear*
Sam Eagle: It is the British way!
Gonzo: Good.

DOOMED, SCROOGE. YOU'RE DOOMED FOR ALL TIME

Yeah, that scene is a great example of synthesizing Dickens to work for the film. Kermit's line "Life is made up of meetings and partings. That is the way of it." it's not from A Christmas Carol as a direct quote but it's a paraphrased version of what Dickens wrote in at least two of his novels.

Same. The more love and awards it gets, the more annoyed and sad I feel that I didn't have the same experience. I wonder if the recognition is a combination of applauding the making of the film (which it does deserve) and viewer's own nostalgia. The viewers might have inferred a lot of emotions that weren't really

I don't know if I loved any small moment in a film this year more than I loved Adam's utter disgust at the configuration of the cables and cords on the side of the building in Morocco at the end of the film.

Yeah, I wouldn't say he's unrecognizable but I would say that this is one of the first roles where I think he fully sinks into the part. Like DiCaprio, more often than not I leave the theater thinking something along the lines of "oh [insert movie star] did a good job pretending to be that guy". For this film I

"Only three of us can write. Mert and…uh…Aloysius will have to sign with an X"

I loved everything about Calvary except the meta moments. The little bits of "oh, the atheist doctor. What a clichéd part to play" and "How's that for a third act revelation?" bugged me. It was trying too hard to be cute in those times when I just wanted it to be straight forward. I know that it's regular for both the

Pride absolutely deserves all the love Philomena got last year and more. It's charming but has enough weight to carry it through. It's real life story is fantastic. Also, the performances were excellent. I wish it was getting more of a push for awards and viewership.

I feel like Firefly did a better job at capturing the tone than Serenity.

There has got to be something better we can cast these two in, right? Right?!

For me nothing beats The Social Network and it's use of Radiohead's Creep. In a two minute trailer it turned the film from "What? A Facebook movie? That's stupid" into "We are going to see that."

My favorite part of Interstellar was that Nolan used Ken Burns' interviews with actual Dust Bowl survivors to describe the situation at the beginning of the film. Those descriptions plus the visuals of the family setting the table/sweeping away the dust did were the best part of the world building in the film.

Those back to back scenes were also helpful in reminding us to stop misusing Casey Affleck's talents.

I had to help people find that movie a couple of days ago in the store. DVD Marketing apparently didn't realize that changing the name might confuse the friends/family trying to purchase the film for those who put it on their christmas lists.
