I’ll give the guy his due he is good but he comes off as a douche most of the time which is why I can’t stand watching his streams. This game has enough toxic players and some of those streamers are the worst of them.

While not as ancient the game that continues to remain fun is Burnout 3. It was all about fun and not all about being realistic. That makes is really hold up well over time. Many of these others are just attempts at simulators which will always show their age poorly.

I’m a big fan of the Perfect Defense mechanism in Garou: Mark of the Wolves. While CAPCOM may have started the idea of parrying with SF3, I think the best iteration of it was in the SNK game. Go figure.

The fact that the input to parry is the opposite of block is one of the most simple yet beautiful pieces of game design I’ve ever seen. It’s like a perfect example of how to manage risk-reward in a game. I love it so much.

Yup, precisely. The buttons and the LEDs inside had to be swapped as both are colored. And it’s actually helpful in gameplay to have some more differentiation of the buttons.
