“Between 40 and 50 percent of all African-American babies are killed before they’re born. A Hispanic child is three times more likely to be aborted than a white child.”

I thought of Futurama.

Literally the first thing I thought of when I heard this story yesterday was Bob’s Burgers.

I love Louise, but hey, she shouldn’t have tried to cut out Mickey.

WHO SMELLS LIKE FREAKING PORPOISE HORK?!

Louise Belcher is going to be so pissed.

Or he just said ‘that is your sister’ once, and every subsequent beep is just ‘ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww’

I personally enjoy the theory that Luke really does not understand R2 as well as he thinks he does and the R2 told him multiple times “that is your sister.”

If Obi Wan lives, then there would be no need for Yoda. And he could have mentioned that Luke probably shouldn’t kiss Leia, who Luke’s mother was, and that Anakin was only mostly dead.

Or just pair them with a Paula Deen shirt so you don’t even need to worry about your front privates!

I wish I could star this seven times. That's exactly what it is. They don't see brown or black as PEOPLE, it's as illogical to them so they veer into sci-fi territory.

So right on. I feel like on some level when black and brown people are lumped in with these imaginary green/purple/orange/blue people, they’re implying that black and brown people also dont exist.

Yup. Anytime people include colors that people are not, you can dismiss anything they say after that as lies. And they're more than likely a secret racist.

If she had the characters she would have added “polka dotted”

I gotta tell you, I would care if someone was green or purple. Sick or choking people are something to care about.

Literally exactly what I was thinking

One of these days, some person will say some insensitive shit about race, and won’t include the hypothetical green and/or purple people in their sorry-not-sorry, or just not-sorry in this case, response and I’ll think to myself, “Progress!”

I contend that it’s “alienwashing” because clearly, Tilda Swinton is not of this Earth.
