When I saw what was supposed to be in the gift box I was left thinking there’s no way Frost doesn’t notice the box is way heavier than it was when he put the badge in it.

I don’t think you pointed out the restraint that Cliff showed. Knowing her powers, he often didn’t answer or respond to some of her questions, he just smoothly transitioned to something else. That was fun to see.
Yeah I totally agree. I think that’s the thing that I really love about Charlie (and Poker Face in general) is that they *like* people. The show is deeply concerned with characters’ humanities and in particular for those kinds of people who fall through the cracks or get looked down on. There’s a point in the premiere…
Truly the most random appearance of Godwin’s Law I’ve ever come across
Sounds like someone has never reclaimed Rome for their people
Yep!
“Even bolognium has it’s charm.” - but does it have a first name?
Absolutely loved this season and excited for the next.
I think she was a little too polite to bring it up, what with the blood draining and the near drowning and such... but by my reckoning, Bo-Katan is now the rightful holder of the Darksaber.
“Look, I can accept fifty-year old babies, robots with New Zealander accents, and literal magic binding the universe together (complete with ghosts!), but a creature named ‘a Mythosaur’? Please. That’s just ridiculous.”
“she quickly executes the spiny mecha creep with the Darksaber before he can drink all of Din’s blood—proving, again, that she’s probably better suited to rule Mandalore and wield the Darksaber than Din is.”
Honestly I kind of hope that little guy goes unexplained. When Bo-Katan was rescuing Din I honestly was thinking “please don’t say what it was.” I just sort of like Star Wars having these bizarre life forms that just sort of leave it to your imagination to guess where they came from, or what they were doing.
“Are you telling me that Bo-Katan just sits there in full armor on an uncomfortable looking throne in a big, empty, cold castle all day every day?”
I mean I’ve definitely had that depressive episode. Well, minus the armor....
A much better episode than week 1! And everything looked pretty great too, especially the flight down to the Mandalore surface and the cyborg eyeball creature.
‘High fantasy nonsense’ is the entire basis of Star Wars though. It’s a farmboy finding out he’s the chosen one and being given a magic sword by his wise mentor to fight a dark villain.
Yes, they’ve started to move away from it somewhat with things like Andor but the majority of the time you’re not going to escape it…
So in Top Gun 3 will Maverick find out that his father whom he thought was dead is actually the evil warlord of the unnamed bad guy country?
I haven’t seen Andor yet (itself derivative of Rogue One, which was derivative of a ANH), but I heard it was good
I’d have been interested in a Rogue Squadron movie.
This isn’t Ted Lasso so I doubt we’ll get a happy ending, but the beauty of this show is how Barry is written to walk the line between hero and villain. If I had to guess, I think he will get some measure of redemption by giving his life to save Cousineau from Fuchs, who he kills in the process.
I love that scene last season, it may have been the opening scene. Where he leaves the guy who hired him and the would be victim alone for like twelve seconds and they somehow patch up their differences. I dunno why but that kills me.
