The Oscars love movies about old Hollywood, actor transformations, and Kidman, Bardem, and Simmons. Given that, I think the fact that it wasn’t nominated in more categories suggests a pretty tepid reaction by the Academy.

I’m one of those people, I stopped at episode 8. It was clearly heading towards a lot of Vicious and Spike backstory content that was just gonna be too much to get through. My take is accents for the sake of humour is racism, people making money by exploiting someone else’s culture is cultural appropriation. People taking parts of other cultures they have been inspired and weaving into their experience and art, is inspiration.

Lillyhammer wasn’t truly a Netflix series until it was cancelled in 2015, two years before they cancelled House Of Cards.
I discovered Lilyhammer last year and binged al of it within a few days.Goofy fun.
I thought it was a legitimately charming show that did a lot with the premise of what if Silvio fled to Norway. Was great when Bruce Springsteen showed up as a hitman/ priest brother of Van Zandt.
