I was never interested in “old” films when I was younger but I absolutely fell in love with Audrey Hepburn in both Roman Holiday and Sabrina.  Such tremendous charisma.  Made me sorry I always brushed off watching those movies because I thought I wouldn’t be interested.

Lots of things I’m looking forward to; lots of things I intend to avoid.

He’s fantastic in this (we’ve watched the first two EPs). He’s terrible (in the best possibly way), and manages to look ridiculous but be incredibly menacing, and of course, without getting into spoiler territory, what the actual fuck?

Canceling Cable/Men’s Room (Culkin) - The former was a good use of an ensemble as well as a problem that many could relate to, in a sketch which gradually built to a satisfying conclusion. The latter was a weird, conceptual piece with a lot of good performances and which didn’t feel like it was trying too hard - until

Like a lot of the recent DC movies, removing any shared universe and freeing creatives to go completely wildly has been a great decision. Watchmen and doom patrol are masterpieces and peacemaker is off to a perfect start.

I feel like peacemaker is the perfect role for Cena. The character is simultaneously ridiculous, pathetic and menacing.

I read an article about the opening credits. The dance sequence was to make people watch the opening credits so they see who worked on the show instead of just hitting the skip button.

I liked The Suicide Squad, but this show wasn’t something I was overly hyped for. I watched it tonight as a palette cleanser after watching “My Orthodox Life” with my girlfriend and I was in love with the show almost immediately, from the exchange between Cena and Ray from Schitt’s Creek.

“...this disjointed universe that is DC live universe so that nice.”

This is what I love about this imperfect universe. It’s so weird! Not everything affects everything else, and that’s a good thing.

Love it. Was laughing my ass off the entire time. Vigilante works really well as a foil to Peacemaker and the fact that they keep him in the mask mostly makes it even better. Yes, he has Deadpool vibes but its’ different enough that the character is their own thing. The way he goes “He dude, move over for a sec” gave

GORGEOUS FASCIST COLIN JOST...

Even if you don’t like the genre (and I’m with you -- I haven’t bothered since I was 14 and Andre the Giant was a thing), as someone noted above it shouldn’t come as a surprise that those people are often ferociously good entertainers.  They’re basically acting with their entire bodies in the ring, and knowing how to

pretty strong start! i was primed to dislike it but cena’s commitment is mesmerizing.

These HBO DC TV shows have been knocking it out of the park. Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, Watchmen, the gone too soon Swamp Thing, Superman & Lois, and now Peacemaker.

How has no one mentioned that insane opening credits sequence??  I was so shocked by it that I immediately had to watch it again to process it.

....on a different network.

Those stylish little dogs and Eagly have my heart already. Also, I can’t explain why, but Vigilante’s “The reason I’m celebrating is normal” was very funny to me, so was the entire conversation that followed.

I enjoyed the 1st two eps for what they were, and was able to forgive Boba’s bumbling efforts to become a crime lord with only a skeleton crew, but this episode felt like a big step backwards. The Quadrophenia kids just didn’t work for me at all, despite the yellowjacket actor doing her best. And i didn’t like the

I’m thinking I’d prefer a Boba Fett series where he comes in, takes over Jabba’s syndicate, and is an actual crime lord... being a murderous asshole and loving it.  That would be a fun show.

Eagly is the true MVP of this show.
