Thankfully Villeneuve has never been a director who has struggled with low-action concepts. Arrival is one of the most gripping scf-fi stories I’ve seen in years and it has maybe half a beat of action. Can’t wait for this (not familiar with it at all prior to this article).

it’s her mother Eleanor who wants Hawkeye dead. It actually makes a lot of sense that Eleanor Bishop would hire an assassin to kill the superhero (with no powers) who’d recently let her daughter (who also has no powers) to get into a life of dangerous vigilantism.

Next do The Mote In God’s Eye!!

That’d be a hell of a post-credit. Clint gets a defense attorney despite having never asked.

60 years ago I had hoped by 2023 we’d have cities on the Moon, Mars and in the Asteroid Belt and all I got was this lousy movie.  The human race is such a disappointment.

Hmmmmmm....

Oh hell yes. They need to just let Villevenue make all of the SF classics from the mid-20th century.

I’ve been waiting on this forEVAR! Denis would be perfect for this and I hope they find a role for Morgan Freeman seeing as how he’s championed this project for so long.

Rendezvous With Rama is one of the best “hard” science fiction novels there is, IMO. It’s a fairly short book that could potentially make a great movie. There’s not a lot of action in it, though, so it will very likely be much more 2001 than Star Wars, which is fine if it’s well done. I also enjoy the wackiness that is

Oooh man, this should be great. I wonder if he can be convinced to do Ringworld after...

They might have a second season and they’re certainly doing setup work for Echo, so they’re not as limited to the 6 episodes as you’d think. I actually appreciate the relaxed pace, and the character scenes of just Clint and Kate or Kate and Yelena or Pizza Dog and Anyone are the best bits of the show (apart from the

It really is only a matter of time before John Munch shows up.

Damn you. I’ve spent decades forgetting that gawd-awful movie, and you just had to bring it up, didn’t you?

So that was... a water cooler moment.

I really enjoy the two of them as well. I feel like there’s a twist coming with her though, she seems very, very tuned into the Shield/super hero/crime world and we know basically nothing about her backstory or where and how they met.

Kingpin is Mephisto.

Don’t be silly, everyone knows the secret to a great relationship is lying to their face about your vigilante activities and gaslighting them when you’re called out. /s

The Yelena/Kate scenes were everything I needed. Florence is utterly delightful throughout. I really thought the blip sequence was really good, too. I also love Laura and Clint's relationship. It's nice to see them telling each other things instead of CW-style lying.

I couldn’t agree more that Debra Messing should’ve played Desi Arnaz.

Couldn’t agree more with Bardem on the casting controversy.  Glad he said that.
