Thankfully Villeneuve has never been a director who has struggled with low-action concepts. Arrival is one of the most gripping scf-fi stories I’ve seen in years and it has maybe half a beat of action. Can’t wait for this (not familiar with it at all prior to this article).

it’s her mother Eleanor who wants Hawkeye dead. It actually makes a lot of sense that Eleanor Bishop would hire an assassin to kill the superhero (with no powers) who’d recently let her daughter (who also has no powers) to get into a life of dangerous vigilantism.

I really enjoy the two of them as well. I feel like there’s a twist coming with her though, she seems very, very tuned into the Shield/super hero/crime world and we know basically nothing about her backstory or where and how they met.

The Yelena/Kate scenes were everything I needed. Florence is utterly delightful throughout. I really thought the blip sequence was really good, too. I also love Laura and Clint's relationship. It's nice to see them telling each other things instead of CW-style lying.
