That’s an interesting interpretation. I’ve tended to be inclined to more cynical views on their interactions, but the show is pretty good about realistic portrayals of damaged and dysfunctional people, and your more nuanced take might be more appropriate.

Their snarking when they went to Connor’s “real bar” was a great example of their casual classism.

I wondered if it was a Catholic thing, but also she is mid-late 30s and getting a divorce. So she might also be torn between not wanting this now and thinking it might be a last chance.

First, shout out to Zoe Winters, who has done a great job as Kerry these last couple episodes. With everyone else trying to maintain their composure as they strategically maneuver, Kerry simply freaking out as her world burns has added a very welcome contrast and energy. I also thought it was a really nice touch to

Yeah, I saw that as Tom trying to “seduce” (ick) Shiv into taking him back so that he would have a place serving SOMEONE again. A direct response to Karl’s quite accurate observation that “now, you’re just married to the ex-boss’ daughter. And she doesn’t even like you.”

I’ll never stop enjoying Tom goading Greg into saying something horrible and then acting shocked as a way of making himself feel better about being stepped on by the higher-ups.

I think the question is whether Logan liked, not loved, him, and the answer is pretty clearly no.

Shiv’s fall down the steps (which I have been marking as an obvious hazard in the back of my mind since the very beginning of the series!) was a wonderfully fraught moment in light not just of her (as yet concealed) pregnancy itself, but also her previously-established hope the pregnancy would go away.

I feel like there is some sort of foreshadowing involved in Greg mentioning Ewan, but I also don’t feel like the show has taken Greg’s development far enough at the point to actually have him personally end on top.

Yeah, that was a believable period of shock/denial, and I also found it believable that Kendall was the one whose gears first started turning again.

I’m willing to make an exception for Logan being on the list somewhere (probably not the top), since although dead, his will may still exert a huge influence on what happens.

What does the “power” in “power ranking” mean?

Yeah, I was shocked when I simply googled “Succession” after watching the episode, and immediately I saw big name sites spoiling the reveal.  Good thing I didn’t do it the other way around.

Kerry not realizing (like Tom) that she had no formal entitlement to an inner-circle position once Logan died was a real failure of basic self-awareness. Not that I mind, but between this and the ill-conceived desire to have Logan make her a new anchor, this season has really knocked Kerry off the apparent-competence

This is a total guess, but I suspect that while Gerri’s firing has been suspended, after Roman did the deed she is not going to trust she has long-term security, and will be looking for some way to move on that might well f’ up Roman as a bonus.

I am not so sure about love, particularly on Willa’s part. I think she is decent enough to care about Connor a bit, but I also think she will be happy to be done with him when they inevitably part in the future (as she hinted at this episode).

Yeah, I am fairly optimistic they have a plan for how to do seven episodes without Cox showing up to add momentum.

Fortunately the show never waits long before reminding us these are awful people.

Yeah, a sudden death by heart attack while alone is a very common way for men like Logan to go (indeed it was how my own father passed, and this sure brought back memories of the phone calls with my siblings). But you rarely see the death of a major character done so realistically.

I had a similar thought every time I wondered if there might be a miraculous resurrection--nope, this show is better than that, which means this is really happening.  Nice to be able to trust a show that much.
