Manny Jacinto is in this?!

Remember last month when DeSantis’ team released an anti-LGBTQ attack ad which targeted Trump? The first half of the ad/video was clips of Trump saying “I love and support the LGBTQ community” during the 2016 campaign, intercut with images of him holding pride flags and footage of drag queens saying “Make America

Me watching Zuckerberg and Elon try to out-dick one another:

Whenever a ubiquitous consumer product sells at auction for an insane price, part of my brain wonders “Maybe a museum bought it, or maybe someone who helped design the product in the first place bought it?” and then it hits me:

I know two people who put money down on the Cybertruck four years ago, and they like the truck for two completely different reasons:

Right-wing media: “Hey! Here’s this action/drama about a federal agent who’s trying to stop child traffickers!”

Gene Munster [worries] that Musk’s reputation may be too damaged to entice candidates.

I’m still furious about Uprising. I’ll admit the first Pacific Rim didn’t exactly set the box office on fire. It made crappy money domestically, but did well enough in China that WB was open to a sequel. So they have Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro who is eager to make more Pacific Rim movies, and the studio

I was going to make a “Which oddball DC character will Gunn cast next? Matter Eater Lad?” joke, but then I remembered that character was name-dropped in Peacemaker, alongside Bat-Mite.

Hey Clarence

I always suspected that it happened when I signed up for a bank account at my university’s credit union. This is nearly twenty years ago, but back then at the beginning of every semester the credit union would set up card tables across campus, with an employee who could sign you up for a bank account. And signing up

First one: “Oh wow! This is a great surprise. Depp seems to be really enjoying himself. Geoffrey Rush is great. This is charming and fun, and it’s got lots of little details and homages to the ride. This is pretty perfect.”

Part of me wonders if the MCU could benefit from a one year break. One year where they don’t release any new movies or TV shows.

I think I would be okay with these (very brief) cameos if Reynolds/Deadpool gets to refer to those characters’ movies as “The bad ones”. Like if there was a two second cutaway to a small prison cell labeled “Rejects”, scrawled in crayon, with Affleck, Garner, both Fox Fantastic Four casts, and Channing Tatum sitting

I do think Affleck will cameo. He was spotted near the Deadpool set in England a couple weeks ago. Everyone assumed it was a coincidence; he must be filming another project nearby. But this Jennifer Garner thing cements it, IMHO.

Uhhhh... I hope they aren’t turning Deadpool 3 into a Member Berries cameo-fest.

I remember when I was in college I accidentally checked the wrong box on a form, and inadvertently signed up for one of those magazine subscription scams. Every month I would get over a dozen random magazines in the mail; boating magazines, Good Housekeeping, Popular Mechanics, Maxim, etc. And it was costing me over

I appreciate how Jon Hamm, once Mad Men wrapped up, could’ve done the predictable leading man action movie star thing, and basically said “Nah. I’m going to do comedies and weird shit.” And the world is better for it.

Here’s the before-and-after for Deadpool’s costume.

The sphere is effectively an outdoor electronic billboard, that probably runs on Windows, and functions as a secondary or mirrored display. So I wonder how long it’ll be before the Sphere looks like this:
