Here’s my take: Whenever this transplant was done it probably made sense — back in 1990 or so somebody wanted a Jensen that was fun to zip around in and be fairly reliable. But then the Miata came out a few years later and with airbags, abs and actual comfort and reliability the charm of old British roadsters was sent

Good luck getting it for MSRP. I called a few dealers in SoCal earlier this year about Civic Type R and GR Corolla prices. The CTR salesman laughed when I said MSRP and they said they can easily sell them for $60K so they will. The GR Corolla was not getting out the door for less than $50K.

If it wasn’t a “revenue generator”, why such an exorbitant fine? I’m sure there are DL points too.

These are the kind of stops cops should be making and charging people for, not “5 over in a 55.” I also think that any money collected for traffic stops should go into traffic safety programs, not law enforcement budgets. Make people pay for their own driver’s (re)education.

I really did like a LOT of what the Ocean offered.  And in a sea of boring cars, I saw it as a lifeboat that stood out.  I’m sad its gone.

He makes pretty cars. That’s pretty much it.

Before anyone says anything about the frivolity of the McDonald’s case, go look at the pictures.

Nah, that’s just the author injecting something that might have been the cause. No reason to jump to an assumption that it actually was the cause. Would have been more accurate to just say “Investigators will likely try to determine the cause of the crash, which could be a variety of things, from the driver had a

Why would you assume that? I mean it could be, but it could also be the 70 year old just hit the accelerator and panicked like many old people do. If it was anything but a Tesla, that would be the likely assumption, right?

If you are considering any of the vehicles on this list and don’t drive the 3 before you make your final decision, you are doing yourself a disservice.

I’m not talking about every situation. Just this particular one where it was so damn close, the kid was announced as winning, and the rules were not clearly explained to him.

Even if the insurance company wouldn’t cover it, they should have immediately chosen to take the hit and pay for it out of pocket.

Said no one ever

“What kind of weirdos do you usually have here?”

This dude probably did get a lot of ass beatings as a child. That’s what turned him into a man who uses violence to get his way.

Afford? yes

She didn’t give him permission, he took the car keys. Next thing after this will be kitchen knives, or hammers, or a shovel from the shed. Parents will have to nerf their entire existence to not risk litigation if their teenager, (who for most of human history was already an adult.) from doing something stupid,

Sorry, but your “old fashioned whoopins” are not the answer, and are bad parenting. Not just my opinion. Not the forum to discuss it.

The big problem with this statement is that these mental institutions exist in theory and not in reality for far too much of America. The rooms are very limited and the focus is to get people slightly stable and out so they can take in someone that is completely out of control.

Many people replying to you here that are okay erosion of liberty, as long as they agree with the circumstance / example being used. Sad.
