@Møbius: The problem is it will be ten years before any of these guys will be remotely capable of having a reusable launch vehicle that can actually be useful. Right now, they are nothing but interesting proofs of concepts.

@flightsuit: I'm not trashing Virgin specifically, just the fact we crippled ourselves and hung our hopes and future of manned space travel in these guys, and it's obvious we are no where near getting to the level of manned space travel via private companies as we were 30 years ago.

We ditched the manned space program in turn for this?

NO he gets the "Special" achievement unlocked....

It's always amusing to see slang from other areas of the world.

This may be one of the coolest things I have ever read. Great story!

@tonyola: I do agree, they definitely weren't top notch as they were aimed to be. It showed how far GM had strayed that they let the Riv get to that point.

@tonyola: The 80's Rivs may have flopped but I'd put my 96' Riv against anything in it's class at the time.

@TRT-X: Yes, Apple hates competition when it comes to squeezing their customers for every last cent

@Benzido: No worse than Apple defrauding it's customers by charging bleeding edge prices for already lagging hardware. Then again, that's been their business model from the start......

@atlas: I think it is fitting, as those people who will pay absurd amounts of money for anything tend to almost always be apple customers. Without such people Apple would be belly up.

LS9 all the way. Small, lightweight and makes gobs of power. Pretty much fits the bill for most V8 swaps.

@Jason Alan Sipes: It's still using aftermarket power adders which means it's not stock and not as produced. It shouldn't be considered stock nor production.

@rigidjunkie: I agree, this is NOT a stock production vehicle therefore it doesn't apply against cars like the Veyron. Sorry, but unless you can take it box stock and run those numbers, you're not taking that title.

@adinnieken: Well this was after me head shotting him about 12 times in a row. So he didn't surrender, but he knew nothing of fighting. lol

@die_shinzo: You can easily sell a PSP with a few games for $150. I should know I bought my first one for $100 with 2 games, sold it a month later to pay some bills for $150. The second one I bought used at Gamestop (yes, I know), and after realizing I wasn't missing much, sold it too for $175 with another 2 games,

This isn't news. I once got called a capitalist pig by a Frenchmen at 4am while playing COD4.

@Optixtruf: I believe you have it wrong.
