Smart move keeping a copy Richard. I'd also zip up the file and e-mail to yourself via a web-based system. The odds of both copies going as well as a Yahoo or Google's servers (for instance) are pretty unlikely).

I was a big believer in having an emergency fun until I read this blog post about using a HELOC as an emergency fund. I have to admit that I like the idea of keeping that 6 months working fully for me (as opposed to just a bank account) like onesix18's philosophy.

I love web software, but it definitely has it's drawbacks as others has already discussed.

I had done this on my cell phone last week. I got a couple of laughs from friends, but it's much easier than dealing with, "Why didn't you call me?!?! I left you a voicemail a month ago!"

You should check out HGTV's Small Space Big Style show. They have some other shows specifically for showcasing solutions to these problems. I'm sure their website would have information as well.

EricJ, I had no problem with Absinthe from a dutch island in the caribbean. I thought I might, but figured I'd just risk it. I didn't find it any different than any other alcohol I had had in the past, just different taste.
