I knew about sales tax growing up because of going to Vancouver, WA. But I’m totally honest here: when I moved to Colorado from Oregon, and I had to pump gas for the first time at 19 years old, I stood there for a few minutes trying to figure out how to do it. I’m sure someone thought it was hilarious.

The Earth is full of weird shit, and some of it downright scary.

I’ll also say, like I did on a few of the stories from last year (and you can believe this or not, not my issue), but my mom is a medium and some of the people in my family can sense spirits, etc. so plenty of weird stuff has happened to us in our own homes that we certainly know it’s not just in the forests.

Oh, by no means do I think it’s only in the woods. I think there’s just something to the fact that in the woods, you’re cut off from everything. You can’t simply run out of a building and get away. You’re literally stuck, especially if you’ve hiked into an area (not the case if you drove). That’s the appeal for me of

YES! Something else to add to my list of things to waste time. I love it.

Here’s how I understand it: reading the posts, you’re supposed to read them as though they are true. There’s no guarantee that they are in fact true. I’ve read some of the author posts in /nosleepOOC that some of the posts are true, based on events that happened to people, or made up - these coming from the actual

What is this “let’s not meet?” Should I be reading something other than /nosleep? I agree with you, many of the stories from /nosleep do sound made up.

I have not read that one. I have to admit that I got totally carried away with reading about the forests which then lead to reading about David Paulides and listening to Youtube interviews with him, then somehow began reading about the Goatman and Skinwalkers and then kind of told myself I needed to take a break

I have never been so committed to a /nosleep thread in my life. I literally cannot explain how much I LOVED all the stories, if only because they literally scared the crap out of me. My sisters and I totally want to go find a staircase, and then get the hell out of the forest.

I had my two sisters read them, and one sister’s boyfriend loves hiking, and my other sister’s fiance is a wildlands firefighter. We all pretty much said we’re never going into the woods ever again. I talked to my uncle, who doesn’t believe in ghosts and the paranormal, about any stories he has from the many hunting

Here’s the original post,

That’s one of the best ones I’ve read. Boo! ghost stories don’t scare me anymore. It’s stuff like this that scares the shit out of me. Wow.

I like to read /nosleep on reddit, and there’s this thread from a Search and Rescue person who works in a national park. Some of the stories s/he has posted (I’m pretty sure it’s a guy, but you never know) have scared the shit out of me. I love nature, and I love the woods, but damn. Reading the stories, then reading

This would be our two dogs. They’re sisters - true litter mates. They check on each other all the time, and they kiss each other. If one is upset, the other one comes over to check on her. It melts my heart. I’m so glad Tillie and Phoebe are safe!

Yo, that Paul McCartney is def famous now that Kanye helped his career...

F-ing Florida, man. Witchcraft? Elizabeth Warren was half right - we fell down, hit our heads and went back to 1790.

I’ve loved Toni Colette since Muriel’s Wedding, and while Drew Barrymore is eh for me, I think this looks so good.

My dad is this way. My parents divorced when I was three, and my dad has always lived a life of materialism. He didn’t want any of us (his first kids) to go to college because he didn’t want to have to pay toward it.
