I was curious how much 500 marks might be in today’s currency. Thankfully The National Archives for the UK actually has an inflation calculator of sorts, though I had to convert the marks to pence to pounds (800), and it spat out this:

Ah, I’m still fairly early game. So spending 35k to 40k on dye is a bit big for my budget (I’d rather save my money for crafting mats!)

For what it’s it worth I did not remember this movie at all. Then again I was 10, so there we go. In case anyone else is interested, I found the trailer and...wow:

Defunctland has a great episode on Disney’s America, that also happens to be a good spoof on Ken Burn’s style:

Wow you’re moving through Heavensward at a quick tempo! Before you leave it completely, this past weekend I stumbled upon a neat little thing: on the Coerthas Central Highlands map go up past the Stone Vigil and approach some graves overlooking Ishgard.  EDIT: Duh, just read the last paragraph (I’m not quite through

At least to address your FFXIV I (relatively) recently went through the same thing. There’s only one raid for the main story line and that’s in-between beating the final boss of ARR (A Realm Reborn, the as game) and Heavensward. Other than that, you’ll end up doing dungeons/trials with 8 people for some of the bosses

I’ve been maining a Gladiator/Paladin since I started up with some buddies when the enhanced free trial hit. They were all level-capped and everything so they’ve been carrying me through the game but it wasn’t until I recently started doing dungeons on my own that I realized how much of what you learned is the tank’s

It also happens to be the last film that Gene Kelly ever worked on.  He was a consultant for the film’s dance sequences.

Puppeteer if your relationship is pretty new and your partner generally stayed away from platformers growing up. We eventually got around to enjoying it together but not after I succumbed to my irritation for the first few hours and we stopped playing it for a week or two.

Funny you should mention that: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2021-01-29/amazon-game-studios-struggles-to-find-a-hit?sref=P6Q0mxvj

FWIW Brian, the closure of Disney’s hand-drawn animation branch was also the result of a lot of company politics. Many animators, especially Disney animators, still prefer the look of hand-drawn over CG and while Disney is very much run by financiers and executives, Ghibli is nothing if not run by artists. They’ll

Thanks to everyone for letting me know!  That’s really exciting!

I just remembered how much I miss Highlight Reel...
