So what system will it be for?

@orca9999: Where do you get this 100Mbps number? All I want them to do is meet the minimum requirements for the service they claim to provide. 4-down 1-up is hardly asking a lot.

@orca9999: "Close enough" is not a good excuse. That is so arbitrarily defined, where do you draw the line? If 128k down is fast enough for me, the end user, is it all right with you if ATT advertises their EDGE network as 4G? If I say that's close enough, according to you that should be fine.

@Czar Donald Strubler: Because I thought it would make an interesting discussion. Is that okay with you?

Oh my god, they still make that AT-AT?? I got the same one for Christmas some 15 years ago...man that thing was awesome.

@Totenglocke42: That was just a theory made by the Romans when they conquered it. Actual evidence suggests the pyramids themselves were constructed by thousands of skilled workers and the collection of materials was done by basic laborers. The non-skilled workers were more like indentured servants, although there's

@naturewill: Yes but the pyramids were built by probably the most scientifically advanced civilization on the planet and hundreds of thousands of workers, whereas Stonehenge was built by what had to have been a very small and scientifically isolated community.

@aquaclear: That's what people say about everything before something is discovered.

@AwokeKnowing: Are you sure academics are the people you want to be attacking? Wouldn't they be the people who understand the most?

@Incoherent: I see now you were, but with the internet you never know what people are capable of lol.

So what's more impressive, the Great Pyramids or Stonehenge?

@spuy767: Weird, italics worked for me. Anyway, I still it's lying because, despite however cleverly they sidestepped the FCC's regulations, they know darn well that their average customer doesn't know what a fast connection is if they saw it. So what if they advertise 3m-up, 256k-down? They know people aren't

@spuy767: How is that lying or being dishonest just because they're calling it "broadband"?

@spuy767: That's not really a fair thing to say. If the service really was as advertised, wouldn't you want to pay $12/month too? It's not their fault they were lied to.

If it's an awesome mouse first, an additional gamepad—no matter how crappy—is a cool bonus.

@dannylebsock: Dude, you just agreed with everything I said.

@Darth Meow 504: But the extra noise is what makes vinyl sound so real. Live shows aren't clear, there are people yelling, amps hissing, and if you're close enough it's so damn loud your ears just screw it up on their own. Even if it was just you and the band there would be extra noise. But that's not a bad thing,
