I don’t think it was a matter of directly causing those things through their actions. I think it was a matter that their very presence was messing with the fabric of reality.  

Couples on TV and in movies spend way too much time keeping things from each other. How does Toby not tell Kate he’s off his meds? Do couples do that in real life? I start thinking my wife and I are some crazy outliers because we talk to each other about these things.

Two little moments in the episode absolutely cracked me up, neither of which I think anyone mentioned: Aderholt’s skeptical facial reactions when he and Stan wonder whether Oleg is really in Washington for a class, and Henry’s impression of Stavros.

Yeah, great attention to detail on the show’s part, as usual.

Fabulous episode. And another thing that makes it great: after they did the “you can’t handle the truth” parody, they ultimately cracked the suspect by telling him he wasn’t smart enough to pull off the crime, making him confess in order to preserve his image of intelligence—the exact same way Lisa Simpson cracked…

When Mick Rory finds out that they met a bad meta with actual fire powers, and RIGHT AT THE SAME TIME met a good meta who could transfer powers from one person to another, and they didn’t think of giving him those powers, he’d gonna be pissed.

Yeah, add me to that list. Didn’t occur to me that it could be about Beth, or for that matter that someone was dead or dying. Although it occurs to me now that it seems less likely that Tess would have gone into placing foster children if Deja’s life goes completely off the rails. Hmmmm....
