I agree. 30, single, over 100k salary, no kids. I wouldn’t dream about a 50k Mustang, Camaro etc. Absolutely incredible how expensive they have become. Cheap and fun aren’t easy to buy anymore. Few options.

Huge swing and miss for the first east coast radwood. Only a few weeks to plan for it. Have to pay to go spectate. Huge missed opportunity.
2001 I was 17 and got a 1997 Mitsubishi Spyder GS-T. It was fun but adding an intake and blow off valve made me want to learn more about cars and made me want to drive all the time. That started my love for cars and turbos.
Just another benefit of only owning non-running POS projects! You reading this wifey??? Vindicated.
I’ll stick to my $60 Coleman tent and $100 worth of gear before I spend close to $40K on a tiny travel trailer.
A Fit SI would be awesome. Or a Non-hybrid CRZ
hummm but for 35K I could get into a 2007/2008 S class!
Same really figured this would be at 250HP by now.
Even the Miata bumped up HP 26 after cries from the public. Come on Toyabru what the heck.
Yeah stupid people ruin everything. Even classic car shows some old timer decides to do a smokey burnout.
Darn it. This article is making me run to my Toyota dealership and test drive one. I would get a base level as stripped out as possible manual transmission.
I hate sunroofs but love manuals.
I love niche 80's rad cars.
I was going to vote nice price then I saw it was an auto. These cars are pretty sweet when 4G63 swapped. Would be a great swap car or fully converted to a drag car which then you can keep the auto!
This car is going to be a flop. Like less sold than the mkIV which is actually not a lot.
Also I want to add....This is why my car insurance is so much even though I never have used it in 30 years.
Jalop needs to do another importation list of cool cars.
Takes a couple hours to get used to honestly it is not that hard at all. Once you get the hang of shifting with your left, left hand turns and blinker stalk differences its nothing. USPS has been doing it for years same with rural postal drivers.
I always hear people commenting on interiors feeling old. I never got this. I look at the interior as functional and ergonomic. Obviously if it is falling apart and couldn’t take wear and tear that is a different story. The interior is just an interior. Between my 67 Camaro, 95 Miata, 02 Corvette they are all “old”…
C5 Z06 is a better car all around. There I said it.
