Or you could say that this episode breathed, which GoT rarely does. It would've drawn far too much attention to the limitations in budget and TV cinematography to reduce this battle to a ten minute snippet at the end.

I disagree that it wasn't great storytelling.

Then they did Achtung Baby. I was like, “Okay. I get it, sort of.” And then they did fucking “Discothèque.”

Yeah, no then you actually read the reviews, and they almost all start off with Todd clearing his throat with qualifications. Like he couldn't just bring himself to say that an episode was good, he had to include a scoff. "Psh, yeah … it's okay, I guess, if you like things that aren't very good."

Season 4 "wasn’t as bad as its reputation" he says … i.e. the reputation it got from the AV Club shitting on it mightily every week. I think I ended up liking that season more because it was so mistreated on this website. (Well, yeah, and Community fans everywhere, maybe. Still, it really wasn't that bad—coming

I love how genuinely upset Rick looks when he finds out that creature isn't laughing at his jokes, just making random sounds every ten seconds.

Oh man, I know this isn't anywhere close to the focus of this interview, but can you please bring us more of The Amazing Screw-On Head? Goddamn, that animated short showed such promise for an amazing series.

Oh how indeed. He ruined everything. Now debate is impossible and it's all his fault. YARRRGGHHH! (overturns table)

Read it again.

SATC = Sex and the City

And a unicyclist, come on, New York is literally full of unicyclist without one ever appearing on the show.

"The guilty flee when none pursue."

This may happen, the internet is a wide place so let's assume it does happen. I read a fair number of pieces on Girls and I for one have not seen a rabid response from people insisting that EVERYONE must like Girls.

"more hip and current that Seinfeld" - damn, I hope they pull that quote for the Blu-Ray set! Seriously, though, you're describing the show you wish was on TV and complaining that Girls isn't that show.

Or it asks you to justify your criticism, which shouldn't be a heavy burden to ask of someone.

I'm probably what you'd call an "apologist" but given that she's not a live performer, I thought she did just okay. The writing didn't so her any favors - the Scandal bit had a good premise weakly executed, and anyone out there really think shrill impersonations of awkward teens is ever funny? Anyways, this wasn't a
