Landon is probably not the perfect example, he just preferred the US, rather than Europe. It’s not that he couldn’t play in Europe. He went to Everton on loan after the 2010 WC and Everton wanted to extend his loan. He played really well. But, for whatever reason, Donovan was always more comfortable here.

I said virtually this same thing in another article. He picked what he knows, which is the MLS. Dax McCarty, Agudelo, Wondo...should never have suited up for the US. And yet, here they are. And while you knew they weren’t going to play, they knew they weren’t going to play...maybe most importantly, the starters knew

Always said this. Big picture? He gets it. He wants to find young, hungry, players playing in the biggest leagues in Europe. He doesn’t want guys to settle for the big paycheck of the MLS.

And yet, still applicable.

He just wasn’t a good manager. He never has been. In 2006, the Germans surprised everyone at the World Cup by making the semi-finals, but that was a really good young team. Klose, Schweinstager, Klose, Ballack.

He lost Philip Lahm, the German National team, and Bayern. Like to think they know a little bit about soccer.

Okay. So let’s face it, the national team is/was flawed. But let’s get this out of the way, Klinnsman was a trash manager and deserved his firing. Arena was an upgrade (even if the upgrade was extremely slight). He was also the wrong manager to bring in at a time where the US’s best chance was to bring in the talented

Here’s the thing. It’s okay to play a guy like Bradley, or Altidore, or Wood. But, going into every game, they knew there was NO chance of someone taking their job. And it’s been like this for years. Instead of bringing in hungry, young, talented players (McKennie, Sargent, Horvath, Miazga, Carter-Vickers), they bring

Not you. Just the comment.

“See Pulisic’s pathetic performance”

Lol lol.

I think he had a lot of titles, and you are probably right. But I would have loved to think he could have stayed on in some capacity, but as far away from the coaching and day to day activities of the team.

I’m actually half okay with Ream being on the team because he can play multiple positions. But, Christ almighty, Zusi and Beasley shouldn’t be even considered at this point.

Regarding Lichaq, I certainly understand but I mean has Beasley really been any better? Like, ever? He’s likely your starting fullback if they go 4 at the back. Ream hasn’t been good, including one of the worst games I’ve ever seen (only beat by Cameron’s performance in that same game) yet continues to get call-up

No, I’m with you (at least some of what you’ve said).

Trying to tell me you aren’t confused as to why Miazga can’t even get a look, while playing for one of the best teams in the Netherlands. Weston McKennie just played a full 90 vs. Bayern, but we bring Dax McCarty? Kellyn Acosta hasn’t been particularly good since his first few games with the US and from all accounts

Arena is a travesty.

Disagree:

Dude, Taggart, unless he goes 0-12 is nowhere near the hot seat.

This guy is a P.O.S.
