Activating a mostly-dormant, hyper-powerful force so that it can cruise around and wreak havoc is the background plot of many novels. Kudos to the devs for deciding to inject some additional randomness into their universe.

Cocaine really takes a toll on you after a while.

Amen to that. Guy might want to work on his nutrition and slim down some if he’s not going to use his mass to hit home runs. It will take some of the load off of his knees, too.

This is the correct take on that nightmare hellscape. Barf.

I got greyed for being contrarian a while back. It’s nice here.

You didn’t already think Draymond Green was an asshole?

If the rule is not enforced, or if the modern interpretation or ‘spirit’ of the rule does not agree with the letter of the rule, then change it.

DeMuro recently gave a brief update on the Defender that he owns from the late 90s, and along with a mention of his costs and hassles he summarized it as ‘the worst car ever made’.

Please explain what credibility the author needs to handle this ‘heavy topic’.

I have read that they are a nightmare to own, difficult and uncomfortable to drive, and generally a pain in the ass to live with. Which: sure, whatever. They look amazing, and the design has held up well. That photo shows the car to best advantage.

lol no

I regret that I have but one star to give.

The ‘cost of gas’ at the pump does not reflect the negative externalities associated with more and more people driving further and further every passing year.

How is it that there have been literally thousands of hypercompetitive, skilled, and talented basketball players in the league but I have to hear about Kobe Fucking Bryant when someone wants to talk about their ‘mentality’? He sucks and is bad, and emulating him will actively make your team worse.

Bocchi’s reaction to winning was the best part. That is the good shit.

Glad you liked that. He has a lot of good work available for free, which is great. His anthologies are good if you want to aggregate the articles in one place and read at your leisure, but they omit some of the older work.

My friends kid is 5. We ride together, and when we put our helmets on we say this every time:

Neutral: Do the videos of EV fires have you concerned about EV safety?

Exactly. This is the minor leagues. Call me when they revoke a win at a Winston Sprint Monster Nextel Cup race.

Langewiesche is great, and if you liked this article you should read his anthologies, or get into the deep cuts for free online at the Atlantic and Vanity Fair. His understated style and economic prose is a pleasure to read.
