The same as my opinion on the awful stuff that exists everywhere in the world. (recently: Did you hear what a US representative, Todd Akin, said?) It's reprehensible and it's our duty to exercise our own free speech in publicly condemning it.

Now playing

Whoa! Hard core. I won't tell anyone about your dad's Club, don't worry. Also, thank for redditing. It was just me and Steve sitting in an apartment in Boston. Here's some OLD footage:

I still spend a ton of my time working, but that's because I love it. It's a beautiful (fortunate) thing to have been able to enjoy working every day since the day I left college. I'm trying to not squander it. And like my website says (http://alexisohanian.com), I'm trying to make the world suck less before I

I'm using cheatcodes thanks to the people around me who help keep me that organized. But I'm always trying to get rid of stuff cluttering up my life. Like they say, less is more.

I graduated from UVA in '05 with Steve Huffman and we joined Y Combinator's first class in Boston to start reddit. The most important thing you can do is to always be building and launching stuff. There are so many (free) resources online now to learn how to build and design software that if you've got a computer and

I try to overcompensate by trying to listen to my mind first (being rational is cool!), because I have a tendency to listen more to my heart/gut says. Especially if I'm hungry.

Hmm.... I'll give you a freecopy of the e-book I wrote: http://www.hyperink.com/Make-Something-People-Love-Lessons-From-A-Startup-Guy-b1478

I've been asking every successful writer I meet for advice. I'm using Scrivener, which I think Baratunde told me about. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/scrivener/id418889511?mt=12

Great question, Adam! The secret is working with awesome people and trusting them to manage what they're best at.

I am the worst. I don't listen to anything new. I'm listening to Jay-Z and Notorious BIG right now. I love listening to old-school Metallica on the rare road-trips.

Nice edit. Hehe. Thanks, but not all content originated on reddit (though, more and more is — well over 1/3 of 'submissions' to reddit aren't links to other sites, they're self-posts).

I own both. Galaxy Nexus and iPhone4s. I love the former for work (mail app actually works well!) and the latter for play — I got it mostly because I had so many portfolio companies rolling out iOS apps long before Android apps. The Galaxy Nexus battery life gets a big look of disapproval from me, though.

Mac since 2005. I still have a PC for gaming, but I don't even use that too often... maybe when HL3 comes out.

You're looking at the work of two 22yearolds who didn't have much(any) experience building web apps. I regret choosing Veranda. But we did do right by minimizing the bullshit. The design is spartan, but it's absolutely content-first, which users have shown they care about enough to look beyond the primitive design.

Subreddits are a platform for communites to share links and discussions.

I don't know what that means, Mr. McWhitey.

How do you expect me to choose between two wonderful things? Pie. Even though I'm a Tau guy. Cake is a lie.

It always changes... /r/upliftingnews is pretty awesome and I just recently found it.

Awesome. That's the magic of reddit. "Nobodies" (no offense) can hit the frontpage one day and be on the Today Show the next. Here's a recent example: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/25/brenna-martin-graduation-gift-dad_n_1623574.html

I'm a backer! As a gamer, I'm super excited.
